PRZ AL Game of the Week: Central (5-1) vs. Auburn (5-1)

Welcome back! We're previewing a huge Week 6 matchup between Central (5-1) and Auburn (5-1)   Both these teams have STACKED rosters, so we're discussing who we think everyone should look out for this week.   As always, check out these prospects' film below! You won't want to miss out on this group.   Let's dive in:   <h1 class="wp-block-heading">OFFENSE</h1>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">CENTRAL</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='708429' first='Bobby' last='Coleman Jr.'] is one of the top QBs in our 2027 Rankings and has been having a dominant start to his junior year.   “Coleman has a ton of different impressive talents dnd traits that are already easy to see in his game. He throws a tight spiral, can place great touch underneath his passes, and delivers the ball with a ton of accuracy all over the field.   Coleman is a quick processor and great decision-maker with the ball. He can quickly scan the field to find the open man and does a great job not putting the ball in harm's way. That, combined with his athleticism, makes him a seriously tough QB to gameplan against.“   Through six games, Coleman has completed 65/110 passes for 1379 yards and 15 TDs to only 4 INTs.   Auburn's secondary will have a tough task ahead this week. Coleman is a talented and intelligent passer who can beat you with his arm and legs. Make sure you check out some of his film below. He's an exciting player to watch.      [player_tooltip player_id='1640570' first='Mike' last='Bass'] has been a key target of QB Bobby Coleman's this season. I have a feeling he could make some splash plays this week.   "At 6'2 170, Bass is quick, can run great routes, and does a terrific job using his size and catch radius to bully DBs and haul in tough-to-catch passes downfield.   I'm really impressed with Bass's ability to gain separation at his size- he can change his direction effortlessly and consistently finds ways to get wide open at every level of the field, leading to huge plays in the opposing secondary. Bass also has some serious skills down in the red zone- he's a huge scoring threat that came away with tons of touchdowns last season, and I don't expect that to stop anytime soon."   So far this season, Bass has hauled in 17 receptions for 468 yards and 3 TDs.   I won't be surprised if Auburn's secondary heavily keys in on Bass this week. He's been a go-to weapon in their passing game and deserves a lot of attention from their DBs. Check out some of his clips and you'll see what I mean.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">AUBURN</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1221867' first='Trinton' last='Pritchett'] is a dominant OT on Auburn's offensive line who could present a ton of issues for Central's pass rush.   "Standing at 6'5 270, Pritchett is a really hard man to move. He can consistently provide a clean pocket with how well he sets his feet and uses his hands against pass rushers. It's rare to see him get beaten or allow any pressure; he has a great understanding of what he needs to do to protect the quarterback.   In the run game, Pritchett does a great job using his agility to get to the second/third level to make key blocks for the ball carrier, paving the way."   I'll be really excited to see how the line of scrimmage plays out this week. Pritchett has been a reliable piece of Auburn's front, and will have to battle it out against a talented Central pass rush. Make sure you check out some of his clips, you'll be impressed.      [player_tooltip player_id='1068557' first='Cason' last='Myers'] is a   “At 6'2 190, Myers is an impressive passer who can put the ball anywhere on the field. He has some serious arm talent- he can push the ball downfield, accurately lead and hit his WRs in stride, and has a careful understanding of his team's offense that allows him to consistently keep the ball safe.   It's even more impressive watching how well Myers maneuvers the pocket. He's great at avoiding pass rushers and keeps his eyes downfield to keep plays alive, consistently creating huge plays under pressure. Myers is also mobile and can create big plays with his legs if necessary- he always finds ways to keep the chains moving every snap and never puts the ball at risk.“   Through the first few weeks, Myers has completed 83/121 passes for 1050 yards and 10 TDs, with another 39 carries for 268 yards and one TD on the ground.   Myers has been one of our top QBs in the class the last few seasons, and this year, Auburn's offense has been dominant with him leading the way. Central's secondary will have a tough battle ahead of them this week; we're excited to watch.       <h1 class="wp-block-heading">DEFENSE</h1>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">CENTRAL</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='212200' first='Tristan' last='Lyles'] is one of the best pass rushers in the state. It'll be exciting watching him and this Auburn OL meet up this week.   “Lyles is a dominant defender who can play the run and pass extremely well. He explodes off the snap, plays with great speed and leverage, and can easily work his way around offensive linemen to get into the backfield and make plays.   I'm most impressed with Lyles' pass rushing. He has an impressive blend of speed and power and a wide variety of moves he uses to quickly get to the quarterback and generate pressure/rack up sacks.”   Through the first 6 games, Lyles has racked up 38 total tackles (16 for loss), 7 sacks, and one forced fumble.   Lyles has consistently been one of the top EDGE/DL talents in the state over the last few years. We all need to be watching the trenches this week; we have some awesome matchups in store.      [player_tooltip player_id='1566067' first='Tony' last='Arnett'], a Liberty commit, is a talented piece of Central's secondary that Auburn will have to watch for this week.   “Arnett is a physical DB not afraid to dish out hits- he's a strong tackler, is great at wrapping up, and can occasionally dislodge the ball with how hard he hits WRs. Arnett is a really talented out in coverage. He has great hands he uses to rack up pass breakups and interceptions against some talented offenses, consistently coming up with huge stops for his team.   It's clear Arnett's great at studying film. Constantly on tape, you'll watch him fly to the play before the offense is even ready- it's super impressive to watch.“   Arnett has become a shutdown DB over the last two seasons. Auburn's WRs will have to work to get open this week. I'm excited to see the two battle it out. Make sure you watch some of his clips below:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">AUBURN</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1222932' first='Carnell' last='Jackson'], an Arkansas commit, is a dominant DT/NG that Central will have to find a way to slow down.   “Standing at 6'3 320, Jackson has his size, strength, and power to consistently dominate the line of scrimmage and make huge plays against the run and pass. He explodes off the line, clogs up running lanes, and is a reliable tackler upfront who doesn't allow the ball carrier into the open field.   Jackson also moves really well at his size- he can make some impressive plays in pursuit, has a great motor, and consistently finds ways into the backfield nearly every snap.”   Jackson can completely wreck games up front. Central's offensive line will have a tough task trying to keep him out of the backfield. I've been really impressed with him this season. Make sure you watch some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1622130' first='Brandon' last='McGhee'] is a lockdown DB in Auburn's secondary who's made some huge plays this season.   "Right off the bat, it's clear that McGhee is extremely gifted in coverage, especially zone. He has great instincts, is quick to react, and can track the ball and adjust himself to create huge plays on the ball. McGhee is a complete ball hawk who is so good at finding and getting his hands on the ball, he frequently hauled in some super impressive interceptions for his defense last year.   Against the run, McGhee is just as dominant. He can make huge plays down by the line of scrimmage, but is even more impressive in the open field- consistently taking great pursuit angles and wrapping up to prevent should-be scoring plays."   So far this year, McGhee has racked up 17 total tackles, 2 INTs, 7 PBUs, and one forced fumble.   McGhee is a ball hawk that Central will likely have circled heading into this game.
