Through Week 0, it is already becoming evident that the wide receiver group in Oregon is immensely talented and loaded with breakout candidates.

After watching film this offseason, and updates from Week 0, there are several players who project as Division I talents.

Here's a look at the breakout receivers in the state:

[player_tooltip player_id='937176' first='Malachi' last='Garlington'], Nelson (2027); @Malachi_Ga23

Nelson junior [player_tooltip player_id='937176' first='Malachi' last='Garlington'] was already a potential breakout candidate before Week 0.

He was named to Prep Redzone's All-Camp Team and we have been watching him closely.

One week. It took one week for him to deliver.

Garlington had four catches for 176 yards and two touchdowns against state-title contender Lakeridge.

With a small schedule, Prep Redzone didn't announce player of the week candidates.

There wasn't much need.

Garlington would've been my nominee.

He had FBS upside and should be getting game day invites to Pac-12 schools soon… if he hasn't already.

[player_tooltip player_id='936920' first='Jasiah' last='Agnimel'], Lake Oswego (2027); @Jasiah_agnimel

Two wide receivers who came into the season with significant buzz popped during Week 0.

One, of course, was Garlington.

The other?

Lake Oswego junior [player_tooltip player_id='936920' first='Jasiah' last='Agnimel'].

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound pass-catcher had three receptions for 75 yards and a score.

Expect a massive breakout season from Agnimel that has Pac-12 schools - and above - inviting him to campus.

[player_tooltip player_id='1169947' first='Hudson' last='Gasperson'], Lake Oswego (2026); @hudson_gas1

A three-star wide receiver prospect committed to San Diego, [player_tooltip player_id='1169947' first='Hudson' last='Gasperson'] is one of the key pieces that makes Lake Oswego's skill-position guys the best in the state.

The speedy all-state defensive back is a 6-foot, 180-pound elusive pass-catcher who should be among the state's best this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='769925' first='Oliver' last='Luebkert'], Beaverton (2026); @oliverluebkert_

The last time Beaverton had a star wide receiver who wasn't getting enough love it turned out to be Oregon State Beavers standout Trent Walker.

Is history repeating itself?

Luebkert is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound playmaker - Walker was 6-foot-3, 190 pounds - who is currently committed to Eastern Washington University.

That feels like a steal for EWU, as Luebkert begins what should be an all-state campaign this week at Central.

[player_tooltip player_id='770006' first='Joe' last='Stimpson'], Jesuit (2026); @joe_stimpson1

A first-team all-Metro offensive and defensive selection, [player_tooltip player_id='770006' first='Joe' last='Stimpson'] is just so much fun to watch.

He's what football is all about.

The 6-foot, 180-pound athlete makes plays all over the field and delivered 1,810 all-purpose yards and 17 touchdowns last fall.

He should improve upon those numbers this fall.

I'll admit it, I didn't fully know what to expect when I popped on the film, but I was told, “this kid is special.”

I've gone back and watched his highlights twice just for fun.

Stimpson is one of my favorite players of the past few years.

Nevada got an absolute steal!

[player_tooltip player_id='402395' first='Braxton' last='Singleton'], North Salem (2026); @BraxSingleton8

As a junior, Singleton led the league with five interceptions and was the 6A state champion in the 110-hurdles.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound pass-catcher was a little quieter on offense - with 475 receiving yards.

Look out!

I expect a big season from the superstar athlete.

An all-state honor is within reach.

[player_tooltip player_id='1654724' first='Hunter' last='Vaughn'], Willamette (2026); @Hunter4Vaughn

As a junior at 1A North Douglas, [player_tooltip player_id='1654724' first='Hunter' last='Vaughn'] delivered a jaw-dropping 4,142 all-purpose yards (2,673 rushing) with 62 touchdowns.

This year, he transition to wide receiver at Willamette, where he could have a special season.

It won't come anywhere close to last year's numbers, but he could emerge as one of the state's best receivers.

[player_tooltip player_id='937241' first='Cole' last='Hachmeister'], Tualatin (2027); @ColeHachmeister

I'm cheating a little with the inclusion of Hachmeister, but I don't care.

As a sophomore, Hachmeister had 1,021 all-purpose yards, 752 of which came on the ground.

The 5-foot, 170 dynamic athlete has blazing speed and would be a dynamic slot receiver as well as running back.

Hachmeister has risen up the rankings higher than almost any other player in the 2027 class in Oregon and his ascension should continue this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='914278' first='CD' last='Nuno'], Philomath (2026); @cd_nuno

Ultimately, I don't know where [player_tooltip player_id='914278' first='CD' last='Nuno'] will play in college, but this list would be incomplete without him - and his teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1560662' first='Rocco' last='De La Rosa'] deserves a lot of love as well.

Nuno is a 6-foot-2, 195-pound athlete who was a first-team all-state wide receiver last year, as well as a first-team all-state track athlete.

He holds an offer from Boise State, but a lot more schools should be looking at him.

He's one of the state's top prospects - regardless of where he lines up in college.

Through Week 0, it is already becoming evident that the wide receiver group in Oregon is immensely talented and loaded with breakout candidates.
