Friday night saw some big matchups in the Northwest- and it was all Oregon.

Traditionally, Washington has thumped Oregon teams, but that wasn't the case this week, as “The Beaver State” went 3-0 in the head-to-head clashes.

Here's a look at the big games from the state of Oregon:

West Linn 41, Camas (Washington) 0

The marquee Oregon-Washington clash of the week turned into a blowout, as the Lions blanked Camas.

West Linn junior [player_tooltip player_id='937233' first='Sloan' last='Baker'] continued his electric start to the season, throwing for three touchdowns with two additional scores on the ground.

What a huge return home for coach Jon Eagle, who was a legendary coach at Camas.

Central Catholic 14, Lakeridge 13

West Linn and Lake Oswego are the clear-cut top two teams in 6A football this season.

But the battle for No.3 felt up for grabs Friday night when the Rams faced the Pacers - with apologies to must-watch Willamette.

Scoreless through the first three quarters, Lakeridge put the first points on the board with a scoop-and-score from senior defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='284122' first='Turner' last='Tropio'].

Central Catholic answered with a 61-yard strike from [player_tooltip player_id='914302' first='Robbie' last='Long'] to [player_tooltip player_id='1369697' first='Talon' last='Sosky'] to make it 7-7.

Lakeridge scored again shortly thereafter on a [player_tooltip player_id='284120' first='Drew' last='Weiler'] pass to [player_tooltip player_id='402418' first='Marcus' last='Post'], but a missed extra point gave the Rams an opening.

Central Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='1585700' first='Cole' last='Thomas'] returned the ensuring kickoff for a touchdown and the extra point proved to be the margin of victory.

The Rams, who lost 21-0 to Lake Oswego on September 12, may be a tier below the Lions and Lakers, but they remain a likely deep-run playoff squad.

As for Lakeridge, the Pacers are 2-2 with wins over Mountainside and Sandy, but losses to Central Catholic and Nelson.

This hasn't been the start they were hoping for, but the program remains in contender to be a top-five squad by season's end.

Mountainside 63, Mountain View (Washington) 2

Hello Mountainside!

Despite losing a ton of talent via transfer during the offseason, Mountainside has proved to be a dangerous, potent squad this fall.

Led by senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1232699' first='Cade' last='Mitchell'], who deserves far-more recruiting attention than he's getting, the Mavericks are 2-2 with impressive wins over Mountain View and Oregon City.

Mitchell is making a strong case to be the most under-recruited player in the state.

It looks like he's playing on “easy” mode most of the time.

Oregon City 33, Skyview (Washington) 7

Oregon goes 3-0 this week against Washington teams with the Pioneers' big victory.

It used to be that Washington dominated these matchups, but this week was a statement for the state to the South.

Sherwood 35, Tigard 31

Sherwood made a big statement Friday night over a Tigard team most would assume to be “favored” coming into the battle.

The Bowmen were outscored 92-7 the past two weeks by the likes of Tualatin and West Linn, so it was great to see the team bounce back for a quality win over the Tigers.
