The final position group to cover before we go full tilt into season coverage; the quarterbacks. The most prized position in the sport, New Jersey once again delivers with 2030 players that are building up steam as they enter into their final season before high school begins. Each of these players has the potential to play a big role at a major program in the near future.

Make sure to check out the previous articles in the series and follow me on X at @jondavalosFB for up to date player evaluations.

Austin is a quarterback I've gotten the chance to evaluate multiple times at Next events this past offseason, and his progression from December to April was noticeable. He stands taller than the average 2030 quarterback, giving him a natural advantage in seeing the field and delivering throws over the line. His football IQ is advanced for his age, and he pairs it with a quick release that allows him to get the ball out under pressure.

Mechanically, Austin is ahead of the curve. He has consistently displayed sharp footwork and the ability to pivot within the pocket, keeping a solid base to deliver accurate, on-platform throws. He may not possess elite, game-breaking speed, but he is quick enough to slide, reset, and evade pressure when the pocket breaks down. Overall, Austin projects as a high upside quarterback prospect with the tools and foundation to keep developing into a complete dual threat presence.

https://twitter.com/Austin_M_QB/status/1954973646067519504

Michael's 2024 highlights showcased his ability to make a wide range of off-platform throws, a trait that immediately jumps off the screen. He shows strong mechanics after a fake, getting his hips around quickly to deliver strikes downfield. His comfort in play-action is clear; he consistently sells the run, forces linebackers to bite, and then drops the ball over the top with touch. That ability to manipulate defenders at this stage is a promising sign from this young QB.

Michael's offense makes use of designed rollouts, which fit well with his dual threat skill set and allows him to utilize his mobility and vision outside the pocket. Though he's currently one of the smaller quarterbacks in his group, it hasn't limited his production or confidence. With time and physical development, Michael will elevate his already polished skill sets.

https://twitter.com/MikeHanhan_/status/1906841156542951642

Rahmeer is a quarterback I'm just getting familiar with, but his upside is evident right away. He possesses big time arm talent for his size, able to launch the ball deep downfield and stretch defenses vertically. He's shown the ability to throw with accuracy on the run, especially when escaping pressure. In the pocket, he's mobile and instinctive, displaying patience and poise rather than immediately tucking the ball at the first sign of danger. His ability to extend plays while keeping his eyes downfield has already produced some impressive results, including a few “wow” cross body throws.

What makes Rahmeer particularly dangerous is his athleticism as a runner. In 2024, he was used heavily in designed quarterback runs, consistently beating defenders to the edge and turning upfield toward the end zone. With his blend of arm strength, mobility, and instincts, Rahmeer looks to be a dynamic dual threat quarterback for years to come.

https://twitter.com/RahWITHTHEARM/status/1929745218439377134

I saw David most recently at the Next Combine in New Jersey this past December, and he immediately stood out with his quick delivery and the velocity he puts behind the ball. He shows strong situational awareness, seeing throwing lanes develop and delivering strikes to his receivers with speed, while proving accurate at all levels with good timing on his routes. Much like Austin, he's been grinding in the offseason to keep improving, focusing on his footwork and ability to slide within the pocket. With his ability to stretch the field vertically, I'm excited to see more tape on him as the season unfolds.

https://twitter.com/jrciliento8/status/1924201499955019897
