In lopsided win for the Rams where defense played a big role in scoring, I take a look at a few of the offensive standouts who made an impact in Ladue's win over Hazelwood West.

[player_tooltip player_id='1325176' first='Evan' last='Via'], WR 2027
(5'11" 175) speedy and elusive receiver got the Rams on the scoreboard first with an impressive short catch that he broke multiple tackles and eluded defenders showing his strength and quickness before hitting the afterburners into the end zone for the touchdown. Via is a sure-handed target that can get open and also makes tough catches in a crowd and is tough to tackle who makes yards after catch in most cases. The D1 prospect will continue to see his recruiting profile rise.

[player_tooltip player_id='1590250' first='Julien' last='Toledo'], OT 2027
(6'5" 275) Offensive lineman who showed me a lot of potential and caught my eye when I saw him play last season. Toledo has slimmed down and is in better shape, which has translated to him being a more athletic and better offensive tackle in 2025. He moves well and has good quickness which he showed in his kick step and pass pro, and he is also a physical blocker in the run who can pull and get downfield to block as well. A definite college prospect who what level will depend on how much more he develops over the next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1222936' first='Trevor' last='Walker'], WR 2028
(6'2" 175) A rising wide receiver prospect who has been a prospect I have followed since he was middle school star. Trevor got some limited work last season but has made the most of his opportunities as a sophomore so far as one of their top two leading receivers. Walker had a nice touchdown reception on a deep pass where he caught the ball in tight coverage in stride and fought off the defender to score. Trevor has good speed and skills and will just keep getting better.

HAZELWOOD WEST

Mark Jackson, QB/WR 2028
(6'0" 178) Is a very good athlete who is versatile enough to play multiple positions on offense and defense. He showed that athleticism, including superior speed and quick twitch elusiveness making moves to avoid defenders playing quarterback at times, and while he had a good arm completing 3 of his 4 attempts, he is more of a runner who made things happen. Although he didn't have any catches, he used his physical blocking ability to help in the run game at that position.

Kylan Davis, RB 2027
(5'7" 180) Is a compact running back with good balance, speed and power that makes him hard to tackle, and the feet and cutting ability that makes it harder for defenders to get clean angles on him for hits and tackles. Davis averaged four yards per carry on 10 totes for 40 yards. He did this behind an undersized offensive line and against a talented defense that features several future D1 players.
