Game Recap: Euclid at Hilliard Darby

It was a beautiful 70-degree day in Hilliard and a great night for football. Fall is here! Last night was a battle of the Panthers, Euclid and Darby. It was a back and forth scoring by both teams for pretty much the entire game until Darby added 2 second half scores and would go onto win 33-20.    Holman plays safety for the Panthers. While he plays safety for Darby he projects to cornerback at the next level. He's a leader on the field as you can see him making sure people are aligned right in the right spots. He did a good job reading the offense and coming up and making plays. Holman is a fluid athlete with twitchy burst.     Krooner was a presence on the edge for Darby. He has the physicality to set the edge in the run game. In the pass game he has the quickness to get to the edge and bend to get home. I really could see Logan play either edge or linebacker at the college level. He runs well and has the hips and change of direction to play the position. It's easy to see why he's getting the D1 attention that he is.     Kornegay had 136 and 3 touchdowns on the game. He runs with great pad level and shows good contact balance. He rarely went down on first contact. He has good feet and hits the hole hard. Kohen has the speed in open field to make turn a run into a chunk play when he gets into space. As he continues to get bigger and stronger.     I really liked what I saw from Smith at the cornerback position. He has fluid hips and some serious speed when he turns and runs. You really saw that when he was matched up with Euclid's speed at receiver. He's definitely a player I'll be looking to keep an eye on. He needs to keep adding good weight and get stronger, but I really like what I saw.     I came away from this game really impress with Keyes. He played both noseguard on defense and offensive tackle. He was strong in the run game where he showed good feet and the ability to stand up and move defenders. On defense you could hear his name being credited with being in on tackles all night long. He did a great job of eating up blocks and shedding to make plays.     Griffith is another player who played both sides of the ball. At linebacker Griffith did a great job of flying around and playing downhill. At running back he's a strong runner who does a good just running between the tackles. He has a thick lower half he uses to create great leg drive. He does a great job of getting the hard yards.     As usual Telfair didn't get too much of a chance to affect the game on defense because Darby really stayed away from throwing the ball to Telfair's side all night. He lined up at receiver on offense as well and had a few catches and a nice run after catch on one play. The speed and athleticism definitely pop. He's definitely worth all of the P4 attention offers and attention he's gotten over the last offseason.     Frieson was the Panthers biggest offensive performer. He has a nice combination of burst and athleticism. He has a nice frame with the space to add on more good weight. He was moved all over the formation and made several plays on the evening. He did a good job of getting open in smaller windows and making yards after the catch.     Robinson was impressive especially in the pass game. I thought his footwork and hands were on point in his pass sets. He had a strong anchor and seemed to really shut down any kind of bull rush. Robinson is likely to kick into the inside at the college level. His athleticism will definitely play up on the interior of the line. Elijah holds D1 FBS offers from Kent State and Toledo.
