Game Changers: Week 3 Stars Who Delivered

Florida has long been a hotbed of high school football talent. Annually, Florida produces some of the nation's top prospects. Florida athletes are known for their speed, agility, and raw athleticism. These prospects have made names for themselves and have caught the attention of coaches and scouts at the collegiate level. With the 2025 season getting closer, we're looking for players whose stock is rising in the state.   These players are all talented and have college-level abilities. Some of these players have a few offers, but all of them have the ability to play college football at some level.   There are some big-time, highly rated prospects and several sleeper prospects who should all be getting looks for the next level. This list is full of stud prospects. Aidan Greer (c/o 2026)   Position: Tight End / Defensive End School: Lake Brantley High Height/Weight: 6'2”, 210 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 3): 12 receptions for 133 yards and 1 TD; 23 tackles, 9 TFL, 6 sacks, 1 forced fumble   Evaluation: Greer has been one of the most versatile two-way players in Central Florida. Offensively, he provides a dependable target at tight end, already securing 12 catches and showing the ability to move the chains. Defensively, he's been a game-wrecker with 9 tackles for loss and 6 sacks through just three games, proving his ability to get after the quarterback and disrupt plays in the backfield. His motor, physicality, and versatility make him a difference-maker on both sides of the ball, and his production shows he can impact games in multiple ways.   Dafino Devega (c/o 2027)   Position: Linebacker School: University High Height/Weight: 5'10”, 190 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 3): 57 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed, 1 forced fumble   Evaluation: Devega has been everywhere for University High, racking up 57 tackles already, a remarkable pace that highlights his instincts and nose for the football. He's shown the ability to make plays behind the line with a sack and TFL, while also forcing turnovers and contributing in coverage. His high football IQ and physical style allow him to consistently be in position, and his production proves he's one of the most active 2027 linebackers in Florida early in the season.   Wyatt Skinner (c/o 2027)   Position: Linebacker School: Saint Stephen's Episcopal Height/Weight: 5'10”, 180 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 3): 51 tackles, 5 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble   Evaluation: Skinner has quickly emerged as a defensive leader with 51 tackles through three games, showing his ability to clean up plays and control the middle of the field. His 5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks add another layer to his impact, proving he can be disruptive near the line of scrimmage. Skinner has good instincts and plays with physical edge, while also showing the athleticism to cover ground. His production and versatility give him the tools to be a highly recruited 2027 linebacker moving forward.   Jed MacArthur (c/o 2026)   Position: Linebacker School: Mosley High Height/Weight: 6'1”, 210 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 3): 43 tackles, 8 TFL, 1 sack, 3 passes defensed, 2 forced fumbles   Evaluation: MacArthur has been a consistent force for Mosley, stuffing the stat sheet with 43 tackles and 8 TFL in just three weeks. At 6'1”, 210 lbs, he brings a strong frame and uses it well to shed blocks and disrupt the run game. His ability to impact passing plays with 3 passes defensed and 2 forced fumbles adds to his all-around value. With size, physicality, and a growing ability to make plays at all levels, he stands out as one of the top linebacker prospects in the 2026 class.   James Olson (c/o 2026)   Position: Linebacker School: Viera High Height/Weight: 5'10”, 185 lbs Current Season Stats (through Week 3): 40 tackles, 8 TFL   Evaluation: Olson has been a tackling machine for Viera, already reaching 40 stops while also producing 8 tackles for loss. His quickness and ability to diagnose plays allow him to shoot gaps and make impact plays in the backfield. While not the biggest linebacker, his speed and motor stand out, keeping him around the ball at all times. His production through three games shows that he's a reliable defensive leader and a difference-maker in the front seven.
