It's hard to believe, but this week is already the halfway point in the regular season. Things have been chugging right along in the Sunflower State, and we're starting to see some teams separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

As we do at the beginning of each week, it's time to hand out some game balls. The third week of the season produced a handful of close games in the Kansas City metro and surrounding counties. But for the most part, there were quite a few double digit victories. Let's take a look at some of the top performances from the week.

Jake House - St. James Academy, 6'0”, 185, RB, Class of ‘26

After falling to St. Thomas Aquinas in Week 2, Jake House helped the St. James Thunder rebound in a big way during Week 3. The senior dominated on the ground, as he rushed for 218 yards on 23 carries and hit paydirt once in the victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='1306210' first='Angelo' last='Keuwo'] - Blue Valley SW, 5'9”, 180, RB, Class of ‘26

The 9th ranked running back in our Class of ‘26 rankings made his season debut in Week 3, and he put together quite the performance. Keuwo turned 19 touches into 145 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns. His return to action should be a big momentum boost for BVSW.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560943' first='Maddon' last='Brittingham'] - Free State, 6'2”, 195, ATH, Class of ‘27

Brittingham takes home the all-around game ball of the week, as he had his fingerprints all over Free State's win against Shawnee Mission West. The junior was responsible for five total touchdowns and recorded nine total tackles.

[player_tooltip player_id='945017' first='Traimyre' last='Woodruff'] & Demetric Tyler - SMNW

A dynamic duo that caught my eye Friday night was Shawnee Mission Northwest's [player_tooltip player_id='945017' first='Traimyre' last='Woodruff'] and Demetric Tyler. These two seniors combined for 367 yards on the ground and seven scores in SMNW's big win over Olathe West.

[player_tooltip player_id='1591265' first='Blake' last='Jay'] - Mill Valley, 6'0”, 175, ATH, Class of ‘26

It was smooth sailing for Jay and the Mill Valley Jaguars in their win over Shawnee Mission East. Jay did all of his damage in the first half as the Jaguars were up by a sizable margin. He scored five first half rushing touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id='415448' first='Kayden' last='Augustus'] - Blue Valley North, 5'10”, 180, RB, Class of ‘27

Augustus has had a strong start to his junior campaign. He showcased his dual-threat capabilities in BVN's win, as he racked up 169 all-purpose yards. The highlight of his performance was a 71-yard catch and run for a score.

Sam Krzykowski - Olathe West, 6'2”, 180, WR, Class of ‘26

Krzykowski's performance came on the wrong side of a lopsided loss, but it was still impressive nonetheless. He hauled in 10 catches for 218 yards and two scores. The senior has quietly been one of the top wideouts in the state through three weeks.

Brady Boydston - St. James Academy, 6'3”, 200, LB, Class of ‘26

Another St. James prospect that stood out in Week 3 was Brady Boydston. He set a season-high in tackles with 12 total in the Thunder's 21-7 victory over Blue Valley Northwest.

[player_tooltip player_id='1401805' first='Ethan' last='Prescott'] - Free State, 6'2”, 200, DB, Class of ‘26

While Brittingham helped put points on the board for Free State, Prescott helped keep Shawnee Mission West at bay. The 7th ranked DB in our Class of ‘26 rankings piled up 15 total tackles, one tackle for loss, and one pass breakup.

[player_tooltip player_id='1664441' first='ZayVion' last='Hayslett'] - Washington, 5'11”, 175, Edge/LB, Class of ‘28

Each week prospects from Washington have produced game ball worthy performances, and Hayslett is the latest Wildcat to receive the honor. In Washington's dominating win over Harmon, Hayslett came up with eight total tackles, five tackles for loss, and two sacks.
