I've outlined that West has started their two-to-three-year window for a state title if they can keep their core intact. But what do they have coming up in their pipeline? I dug in and found out. Now, here are some key names to know for the future. The game I attended was West JV vs American Fork Soph team.

Sione has good size and will play inside or outside. He has the physicality and play strength to play the defensive tackle spot, while being quick and explosive off the line and having good hip bend to play the EDGE. He won the majority of his snaps on the evening. With his explosive first step, he gained the advantage and used a combination of a bull rush and being light on his feet and being too quick, will use speed rushes to win. He has a good lateral burst, is too quick for most lineman and uses his skillset to get his lineman off balanced and will then use his violent hands to finish off his blocker. He moves exceptionally well and is a disruptor, he will be a Power-Four recruit and starter, he is an excellent propsect and he has a tremendous ceiling.

Naeata was the best offensive player on the field. He showcases great size for the position and has good vision and sees the lanes develop before they fully form. He does well in getting small through the first level and uses his vision to find cutback lanes. He is a physical runner who possesses good contact balance and is a tough runner to bring down, arm tacklers will not be able to take him down. He does a good job of utilizing his lateral quickness to make defenders miss when in arm's reach. He has the speed to get to the edge and is a runner that will finish off his runs and lower his pads. He's a bruising back with a good lower half and is a bell cow back. He is a three-down back who has soft hands and is a natural hands catcher. There is plenty to like with him, and he projects as a D1 prospect and should get recruited by G5 teams with the upside of bigger and better programs. He was quite impressive.

Harding worked exclusively as an EDGE rusher and there's plenty to like. He is quick off the line and presents with good overall quickness to his game. He moves well laterally, has good strength and physicality to his game. He uses a good bull rush and, with his quick first step, ends up overwhelming his lineman. He sheds his blocks with ease and has quick, active hands. He shows good pursuit and is a player who shows great athleticism.

Tevita is a versatile backer who did well in coverage and was comfortable in space and does well occupying his zone and his coverage. He showed good hands and tracking by having an interception on the evening and is a player with good speed and has good footwork, he should slot in as one of the starting backers next year on varsity.

Kingike has good size and is a strong, physical player who does well in advancing his position. He uses his size to his advantage, he plugs the middle, and he has good lateral quickness for a player of his size and he showed a good burst on the evening and recorded a sack.

Kelvin is a physical runner with good vision. He is a runner who will lower his pads and lay the hammer on an opposing player. He shows good contact balance and will finish off his run. He is light on his feet and moves well overall. He has the speed to get to the edge and will be an effective runner at the varsity level next year.

Eric was the QB1 and saw time at cornerback. He moves well and has good lateral movement. He shows good hip fluidity and is a player that will likely end up as a defensive back.
