The Quarterback position may be the toughest in football. But here are several QBs that have made their varsity debut is 2025 and are gaining a lot of traction in the first three weeks of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1514651' first='Mason' last='Anderson'] (West Seneca West) - Anderson, the unquestioned #1 QB for the Class of '29 has led the Warhawks to a 3-0 record to start his high school career. He has a strong arm and arguably the best football IQ throughout Section VI. Through his first 3 games, he has accounted for 11 TDs (6 on the ground and 5 through the air)

[player_tooltip player_id='939439' first='Jayden' last='Hassett'] (Orchard Park) - The Quakers have gotten off to a rough start losing their first two games, allowing over 40 points in each contest but nerves settled in Week 3 with a 34-0 win over Lockport. Hassett had a solid outing throwing for 208 yards and a TD with 0 INTs. Jayden is the future for Orchard Park so how he performs as the season progresses will tell a lot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1719800' first='Matthew' last='King'] (Lancaster) - Lancaster enters 2025 as the reigning Class AA champions so there were big expectations for the Legends new signal caller. King has been solid, leading the team to a big OT win week 1 over McKinley, a huge divisional win over Orchard Park before losing a stunner to rival Jamestown in Week 3. Through it all, King has been a model of consistency accounting for 10 TDs to just 2 INTs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1367169' first='Marquis' last='Harris'] (Bishop Timon-St. Jude) - For the second straight year, Timon lost their starting QB opening night and had to call upon their backup. Enter Harris; The Tigers JV product from last season has thrown for 440 yards and 7 TDs in 3 games and look to make a push for the Monsignor Martin playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1864262' first='Anthony' last='Mantione'] (Grand Island) - Week 3, Mantione suffered his first loss of his high school career after leading the Vikings JV to an underfeated season as a freshman. Prior to that loss, Anthony and the Grand Island offense averaged over 50 points per game in the first two contests. He is an athletic playmaker at QB and considered one of the best prospects among the class of 2028.

[player_tooltip player_id='1811579' first='David' last='Chase'] (Starpoint) - Chase is a junior QB that has showed a lot of raw talent. The Spartans are currently 1-2 on the season but David is a promising prospect with good arm strength in a pass heavy attack. There is a lot of room to grow and he has the potential to be a premiere QB in Class B.

[player_tooltip player_id='1903300' first='Carson' last='White'] (CSP) - CSP has dominated Class D the last two seasons and are now in their first season in Class C. The transition has gone well with the Wolfpack going 1-1 within their division after a 7 point defeat to reigning Class C champions, Salamanca. White has had to replace a two time All State QB and has held his own accounting for over 500 yards of offense and 8 TDs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1811553' first='Brayden' last='Manns'] & [player_tooltip player_id='1814188' first='Brendan' last='Kiel'] (St. Joe's) - St. Joe's has opened many eyes this season. They have been running a 2 QB system with Manns & Kiel, with each alternating starts. After losing a tough battle to #10 NYS ranked Cardinal Hayes in week 1, they went on blowing out Class AA Jamestown and St. Andrews from Canada. The Marauders are a run first team so passing stats will be a premium but they are making a push to be the top dogs in the MMHSAA and will lean on the QB position to get over that hump.
