2027 Midseason Trench Evaluations

<p>There are some ballers in the trenches who we like a lot. It is the midseason point. You are going to want to know these guys that we mention in this article.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1595156' first='Mitchell' last='Turner']</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1595156' first='Mitchell' last='Turner'] has been one of our favorite players to covers since last season. Turner has really turned things up this year. He is leading the state of Mississippi with 9 sacks. When he plays with his hands in the dirt, Turner is absolutely amazing at getting to the quarterback. There is no reason why I player like him should be coming from the edge. When this guy lines up at tackles, he gets really active in the trenches. He has a quick take off that is hard for offensive linemen to keep up with. He holds multiple division one offers.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1717150' first='Jobe' last='Lambert']</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Lambert is another defensive tackle who we want to talk about in this class. You are going to see that he is known for playing on both sides of the football. We think that if he continues to get taller, Lambert may end up seeing himself playing on the offensive line in college. Lambert does a great job when he stalemates his opponents. He does a good job of getting players out of the way when his team is running the football. You are also going to see that he has a tendency to get in the backfield on defense.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1077563' first='Gage' last='Luther']</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Luther is an incredible player on the offensive line. We love how he is able to be a force in the trenches for his team. You are going to see that Luther knows how to keep his hands in a close setting. He does not use bad technique. He knows how to keep those elbows in tight to help him have more strength and control when he is getting ready to block.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='423347' first='Caleb' last='Unger']</strong></h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='423347' first='Caleb' last='Unger'] is a really good player who has some really good skills. We have known for a long time that he is one of the best players in the nation for this class. Unger is able to have great balance when he is in the trenches. You are not going to see a lot of players who are going to have him on his heels because he has such great technique. You are going to see that he knows how to work with the small room he has on the interior line. He does a good job of not having his feet to a part. That allows him to move around with grace and not be too flimsy and clumsy.</p>
