We published our updated 2026 rankings on Tuesday. Here is Part 2 of the New Additions:

[player_tooltip player_id='1748635' first='Isiaha' last='Almodovar'], Carlsbad: The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Almodovar will bring great size to Carlsbad's defensive line after gaining varsity experience the past two seasons. Potential Breakout Player of the Year candidate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1752746' first='Cody' last='Coffeen'], Espanola Valley: The Sundevils didn't throw the ball much last season but things could change under new head coach Caleb Holbrook. If so, Coffeen promises to benefit as he brings nice size (6-foot-2) to the WR spot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1748663' first='Spirit' last='Cook'], Volcano Vista: Cook was Volcano Vista's backup QB last season and he's currently battling for the starting QB job in preseason camp. Cook has nice size (6-foot-1) and brings plenty of grit and fearlessness to the position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1750924' first='David' last='Gaumond'], Roswell: The Coyotes had arguably the top defensive line in New Mexico last season. Gaumond flew under the radar in 2024, but that could change this fall. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Gaumond brings nice size to the DL, continuing a trend for the Coyotes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1751385' first='Elias' last='Griego'], Capital: Griego's 2024 season was cut short by an injury but as long as he stays healthy, he should enjoy a solid season as an defensive end for the Jaguars. The Capital defense should be improved in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1751283' first='Bryan' last='Lobato'], Deming: The 6-foot-2 Lobato is one of the headliners for what should be a talented Deming wide receiver corps in 2025. He enjoyed a successful track season. Between his size (6-foot-2) and speed, Lobato could be a major weapon for Deming this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1751438' first='Erick' last='Silveyra'], Santa Teresa: Silveyra is developing into one of the top offensive linemen in southern New Mexico. Nice size at 6-foot-1, 280 pounds. The Desert Warriors' offensive line is expected to be vastly improved after injuries set the unit back in 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='1751737' first='Logan' last='Underwood'], St. Pius X: Because St. Pius X has so many talented offensive weapons, Underwood has flown under the radar. His 6-foot-3 frame and athleticism make him a potentially outstanding intermediate range target.

[player_tooltip player_id='1751662' first='Hayden' last='Watkins'], Los Alamos: Expected to be the Hilltoppers' new starting QB. Watkins has been in the system for a long time and is a great athlete, as he showed during 7x7 season. Throws well on the run. Knows the offense inside and out, making him the ideal starting QB for this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1750240' first='Steven' last='Williams'], Artesia: The 6-foot-4 Williams is the lone returning offensive line starter for the Bulldogs. He's moving to left tackle and should serve as the anchor. Artesia produces a ton (literally) of offensive line talent. Many have gone on to the next level. Williams should be the next one.
