Here we break down the NW's top 25 teams heading into the season among all classifications. The state of Oregon has beaten Washington teams over the last few years, with West Linn and Central Catholic beating the likes of Sumner, Bellevue, and Lake Stevens. Traditionally this hasn't been the case with Washington being relatively dominant. Check out #1-10 below with #11-25 up next.

1.O'Dea WA

The reigning state champs return one of the top D line's in America led by [player_tooltip player_id='402788' first='David' last='Schwerzel'] (UCLA commit), [player_tooltip player_id='284217' first='FA' last='Siale'] (Michigan St), [player_tooltip player_id='1354431' first='Jeremiah' last='Nonu'] (Nevada) and nationally ranked 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1599603' first='Tevita' last='Nonu']. Also back is [player_tooltip player_id='726157' first='Kingston' last='Fotualii'] (Wash St) and [player_tooltip player_id='726171' first='Griffin' last='Matzen'] on the O line. Add in a few D1 skill guys and the Irish will once again be extremely difficult beat.

2.Lake Oswego OR

The Lakers have dudes everywhere with one of Oregon's all-time great coaches leading them, so as of right now you have to give them the nod. POY favorites [player_tooltip player_id='402416' first='Lamarcus' last='Bell'] (Utah commit) and [player_tooltip player_id='457009' first='Sam' last='Vyhlidal'] (Washington) are ranked two of the top five players in the state. 6-4 QB [player_tooltip player_id='402409' first='Hudson' last='Kurland'] (Washington St) is a D1 guy and a legit dual threat. Defensively they have an elite secondary with 1st team all-state individuals at the LB spot, making LO one of the few teams where you just don't see a weak spot on either side of the ball.

3.Sumner WA

[player_tooltip player_id='726169' first='Nate' last='Donavan'] doesn't necessarily project as a big time D1 recruit at QB but give him a ton of credit for coming in during his first season and leading Sumner to the state title. The Spartans will have an elite defense led by returning Conference POY [player_tooltip player_id='1544388' first='Shaun' last='Griffith'], and three other D1 guys in LB's [player_tooltip player_id='1165398' first='Austin' last='Glivar'], [player_tooltip player_id='1576633' first='Dillon' last='Titialii'], and DB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='726174' first='Israel' last='Nabors']. If 3* WR [player_tooltip player_id='1188109' first='Braylon' last='Pope'] and TE [player_tooltip player_id='1599631' first='Ashton' last='Pillard'] continue to do their thing on offense they will be a 4A favorite again.

4.West Linn OR

Speaking on the NW's all-time best coaches, you don't get much better than Jon Eagle. The reigning Oregon 6A champs graduate a bunch of talent from last year's title team but are loaded from youth ball on up. [player_tooltip player_id='632957' first='Josiah' last='Molden'] is one of the top 2027's in America and about as dominant as you get. RB [player_tooltip player_id='769989' first='Viggo' last='Anderson'] has a chance to put up video game like numbers with [player_tooltip player_id='769924' first='Kalani' last='Ioapo'] being a lineman of the year candidate. The key for the Lions this year will be the young guys. If they can step up and perform, they will have a chance at another title.

5.Bellevue WA

The Wolverines went 12-1 losing in the 3A state title game to O'Dea last year. They will have 3A POY favorite [player_tooltip player_id='1128444' first='Max' last='Jones'] back at RB with talent everywhere on the perimeter. The biggest question comes up front on the O line where they graduate two of the nation's best in Demetri Manning now at Oregon and Willi Wascher who is at USC.

6.Lakeridge OR

This should be the best Pacers team in decades as Lakeridge will have a legit shot of winning the 6A title. They have a D1 line with 6-6 and 6-7 tackles [player_tooltip player_id='402412' first='Joe' last='Weiler'] and [player_tooltip player_id='914288' first='Carter' last='Paul'], to go with division 1 projected interior guys in transfers [player_tooltip player_id='1341235' first='Jaxon' last='Barber'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1591972' first='LJ' last='Kyle']. QB [player_tooltip player_id='284120' first='Drew' last='Weiler'] has one of the fastest rising stocks of any player in the NW with four year all conference athlete [player_tooltip player_id='402418' first='Marcus' last='Post'] being the real deal. Defensively [player_tooltip player_id='769915' first='Noah' last='Tishendorf'] will be a 6A POY favorite. It's now or never for LHS.

7.Eastside Catholic WA

Eastside has top recruits everywhere highlighted by senior's [player_tooltip player_id='402799' first='Wassie' last='Lugolobi'], [player_tooltip player_id='402787' first='Asa' last='Thompson'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1582216' first='Cade' last='Boehl']. They also feature two of the nation's top underclassmen in [player_tooltip player_id='1003593' first='Tytan' last='McNeal'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1617792' first='Aedyn' last='Havili'] but do lose the state's #1 recruit for 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='652796' first='Liufau' last='Loumoli'] who transferred to IMG in Florida. The Crusaders went 10-2 last season with both losses coming to state champ O'Dea. They will be hungry for some payback.

8.Central Catholic OR

CC is a 6A title contender every year within Oregon and they have numerous dudes who will play D1 ball including maybe the best RB duo in the state in [player_tooltip player_id='402415' first='Killian' last='Sombe'] and [player_tooltip player_id='402427' first='Tyson' last='Davis']. The biggest question mark will be up front on the line where they lose foundational pieces to graduation in 4* Zac Stascausky and Kainoa Hayes. They handled Lakeridge 40-17 last year in the playoffs, but it will be much more competitive if they play again.

9.Gonzaga Prep WA

The Bullpups have a real shot at a Washington 4A title this season with Spokane producing as much talent as it has in years. Gonzaga Prep went 12-1 last season losing by a TD to Camas in the state semi's and return multiple D1 athletes with both [player_tooltip player_id='1589207' first='Jacobe' last='McClelland'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1165359' first='Isaiah' last='Docken'] holding offers. 2x 1st team all-conference RB [player_tooltip player_id='1165376' first='Jonah' last='Keller'] will be a GSL Player of the Year favorite.

10.Graham Kapowsin WA

You will see GK competing for state titles in the seasons ahead with their younger classes being loaded. QB [player_tooltip player_id='984855' first='AJ' last='Tuivaiave'] racked up conference POY honors as a freshman and it wasn't really close. Underclassmen [player_tooltip player_id='937738' first='Kase' last='Betz'], [player_tooltip player_id='569907' first='Ayden' last='Bullinger'], and [player_tooltip player_id='985348' first='Jayce' last='Halasz'] all rank at the top charts as well. Add in 3* [player_tooltip player_id='928074' first='Maurice' last='Williams'] who makes the transfer from Yelm and you have an extremely young but dangerous group.
