Super 75 Recap: Wide Receivers

The receivers group at Super 75 was the youngest unit at Media Day—but they brought big-time talent and energy. Featuring three incoming freshmen and a strong group of sophomores, this group didn't shy away from competition. From crisp route runners to explosive playmakers, the talent was undeniable. Several of the top young pass catchers from both North and South Carolina were on display, setting the tone for what looks like a bright future at the position. This young core is one to watch moving forward.    Wayne Claiborne is a true route-running technician. Entering his junior year at Hoke County High School, Claiborne brings a polished skill set to the receiver position. He's stronger than he looks, mentally tough, and thrives in high-pressure moments. But his best trait? His hands. Claiborne's catching ability is elite—whether it's in traffic, on the sideline, or stretching the field. Expect him to be a go-to target this season and one of the most reliable receivers in the region     Mah'Rod Woods is one of the standout freshman receivers to watch this season. Attending Hoke County High School, Woods enters with plenty of buzz from his travel ball days, but what sets him apart is his humble, open-minded approach. His main goal for the season is simple: to get better. With his raw talent, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn, Woods has all the tools to grow into a major weapon for Hoke County in the coming years.     mari Green is already making a name for himself as one of the top incoming freshmen in the entire state of South Carolina. The Wilson High School standout brings elite athleticism, natural hands, and advanced route-running for his age. With his skill set and work ethic, Green has all the makings of a future star. It's only a matter of time before he cements himself as one of the premier receivers in South Carolina. The foundation is there—and the ceiling is sky high.     [player_tooltip player_id='1665255' first='Kamren' last='Freeman'], a 6'3" wideout from Northern Nash, is a rising D1 prospect who picked up an offer from Toledo this offseason. While he finished last year with just 20 receptions, he made them count — four went for touchdowns. Now entering his junior season, Freeman is poised for a breakout year. He'll kick things off with a statement opportunity, opening the season against J.H. Rose — the very team that ended his playoff run last fall.     [player_tooltip player_id='1718784' first='Phoenix' last='Barnes'], a junior tight end at Jack Britt High School, is the definition of a prototypical tight end. Standing at 6'5" with long arms and legs, he brings the kind of size and frame that college programs covet. Barnes is a strong, physical presence in the run game — a good-to-great blocker — and pairs that with smooth route running and reliable hands as a pass catcher. His versatility makes him a matchup nightmare and one of the most promising tight ends in the region.     Jayvan Lovette is a physical, sure-handed receiver with great size and toughness for Purnell Swett. At 6'2" and nearly 200 pounds, Lovette plays with strength, fearlessness, and elite hand-catching ability. He also lines up at safety and has the kind of talent that could land him on either side of the ball at the next level. With his versatility, physical tools, and football IQ, Lovette is the type of player any college program — at any level — would be lucky to have. Keep an eye on this one. Built like a running back but with the hands and route-running ability of a polished receiver, Wilder is a true matchup nightmare. The Socastee standout is a versatile athlete with the tools to explode this season — and all signs point to a real breakthrough year ahead. Now heading into his junior year, Pate is stepping into a new role — one that fits his natural skill set. Pate is electric with the ball in his hands and tough to bring down in the open field. Don't be surprised if he earns All-Conference honors by season's end.     Machai “Bubba” Brown made a big impression at his recent showcase, taking home the Strong Man Challenge title for his position. The Hoke County receiver is a strong, confident prospect who continues to turn heads with his physicality and competitive edge. Brown is full of belief — not just in himself, but in his team — and he fully expects Hoke County to make a serious run at the state championship this season.     Jackson Greene of East Carteret is a super athletic receiver with game-breaking ability. He's fast, quick, and downright explosive — a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Whether it's on punt return, kickoff return, or lining up at receiver, Greene brings elite speed and playmaking instincts that make him one of the most dangerous weapons on the field.     [player_tooltip player_id='1561725' first='Dynovan' last='Marshmon'] from Trinity Christian School (Fayetteville) is heading into his junior year with high expectations. Athleticism runs in the family — his older brother signed to a D1 program last season, and Dynovan looks ready to follow in those footsteps. He's a natural athlete who can run, jump, and catch at a high level, and he's poised to become a major contributor for Trinity this season.     Amin Davis is one of the top incoming freshmen in the area and a name to watch early. With a mature approach and advanced skill set for his age, Davis is poised to be a key contributor to Hoke County's success this season. The foundation is there for a special high school career.
