Mercer has a quick first step allowing him to create pressure immediately. His height and IQ allows him to bat multiple balls down at the LOS. He is a major play disruptor with a solid tool bag of moves allowing him to impact almost every play.

On the offensive side of the ball, Mercer is a wrecking ball, moving opposing players with ease and creating huge gaps for on the LOS for his offense. Despite his ability on the offensive side, he projects better on the defensive side of the ball.

I like Mercer to stand out among the top D-Lineman in the Section and continue to climb up the rankings.

Best LB Top 3: Dylan Burbrudge(East Chester), Killian Curyolo(Tuckahoe), [player_tooltip player_id='1629612' first='Luke' last='Foisset'](Valhalla)

Honorable Mentions: [player_tooltip player_id='1260110' first='Carsten' last='Steinmann'](Rye), [player_tooltip player_id='1624602' first='Elijah' last='Clark'](Yonkers Force), [player_tooltip player_id='1577510' first='Marc' last='Sullivan'](Roy C Ketcham)

Best LB Prediction: [player_tooltip player_id='1629612' first='Luke' last='Foisset']

Each of the three finalists listed above can win this award. AT the LB position, Section One is deep and stacked top to bottom with talent. Foisset is the youngest on the list and holds a ton of potential. I think he breaks out this year and shocks the Section.

The two-way player, displays excellent versatility on both sides of the ball. As a RB he is a physical prospect who can bulldoze his way through gaps and escape for big games. He is a tough to tackle player, making his size valuable. As a LB he displays a high IQ, with an amazing tackling ability. He can move sideline to sideline and stop plays with ease.

Best DB Top 3: [player_tooltip player_id='1105259' first='Jason' last='Kim'](Horace Greeley), [player_tooltip player_id='1344776' first='Ben' last='Weinstein'](Horace Greeley), Aidan Febels(New Rochelle)

Honorable Mentions: Cruz Calgani(John Jay East Fishkill)

Best DB Prediction: [player_tooltip player_id='1105259' first='Jason' last='Kim'](Horace Greeley)

At the Defensive Back position, Section One has limited prospects. Horace Greeley has the top two with [player_tooltip player_id='1105259' first='Jason' last='Kim'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1344776' first='Ben' last='Weinstein']. I like both prospects and think both of them can win this award.

On the Horace Greeley defense, he mainly lines up on defense. He wraps up defenders ankles and makes great tackles in open space. He likes attacking low and can enter the box as a hybrid OLB. He is an excellent athlete.

Best ATH Top 3: [player_tooltip player_id='402254' first='Brayden' last='Richardson'](Sleepy Hollow), [player_tooltip player_id='1624570' first='Cooper' last='Comito'](Nyack), [player_tooltip player_id='1650979' first='Amari' last='Occena'](North Rockland)

Honorable Mentions: [player_tooltip player_id='834559' first='Benjamin' last='Gatenio'](Rye Neck), [player_tooltip player_id='1743273' first='Kingston' last='Boykin'](White Plains)

Best ATH Prediction: [player_tooltip player_id='402254' first='Brayden' last='Richardson'](Sleepy Hollow)

Richardson is a new addition to the Athlete position. He stars on a speedy Sleepy Hollow roster that features himself and [player_tooltip player_id='1804198' first='Gilbert' last='Onwe'] who both hold Track and Field Offers.

He was moved to the ATH position given his versatility as a pass catcher and specialist for special teams. He is an elusive athlete who built on a solid Sophomore season. Richardson is one of the top Athletes in the state and can easily explode this season.
