The recruiting clock is all over the place these days. With so much roster movement within college programs, high schoolers are forced to be patient at times. No need to panic if you're still on the board with your senior season beginning. There's still opportunity to impress scouts that will end up with openings on the next level.

Here's a group of guys that can raise their stock during the 2025 campaign:

Tate is a tall defensive back with long arms and quickness. He shows off recovery speed and changes directions smoothly during his junior highlight video. Tate also operates with a physicality that could fit at safety or hybrid depending on how his frame develops. He's active and finds his way to the football even when not being challenged in the passing game. Versatility also is a part of Tate's game, which shows up with his instincts in zone coverage. He also would be a special teams asset on the next level.

Burge racked up 26.5 tackles (12 solo, 1.0 TFL) and a sack as a junior defensive lineman in 2024. He chipped in running and catching the ball on offense. As we can see during his 11th-grade highlight video, Burge is a handful on the D-Line. He bursts off of the snap in a hurry, while also operating with balance and control. Strength and active hands help Burge separate from blocks. His frame looks capable of filling out more without the loss of speed and agility. It gives him a sizable ceiling and makes him one to watch in 2025.

Ten of Martin's 19.0 tackles in 2024 were of the solo variety. He posted 3.0 tackles for loss. Martin transferred from Davenport West to Davenport North since last season. He provides the Wildcats with a disruptive presence on the D-Line, albeit not one with a traditional frame at the position. We witness that watching his junior highlight video. Get-off on the snap is his calling card. He's a jet coming off the edge and pounces on the ball carrier at lightning speed. Strength also stands out for Martin, who usually is the low man winning the leverage battle.

Stewart is a handful on the interior of the defensive line. Lower to the ground than most offensive linemen, he uses leverage to his advantage. He combines that push with speed to make it difficult to contain him. Stewart runs well, which allows him to track down runners attempting to get into space, as we see during his junior highlight video. He was credited with five solo tackles and a tackle for loss but those statistics seem inaccurate when watching his film. Stewart is one to watch in 2025 as a potential breakout candidate.

Golinghorst was an all-district defensive back last season, when North Scott reached the state semifinals. Twenty one of his 24.5 tackles were of the solo variety. He also delivered 3.0 tackles for loss and recovered a fumble. Golinghorst also contributed on offense and was a returner on special teams. When watching his junior highlight video, we witness a long-limbed cornerback that can cover a lot of ground. In addition to sticking on receivers, Golinghorst can get downhill in the run game and deliver thump with his physicality. With a frame that has room to fill out without the loss of athleticism, Golinghorst potential for much more.

Brynsaas was an integral part of Decorah team that won its first 10 games a year ago before falling in the state quarterfinals. He posted 20.5 tackles (10 solo, 5.5 TFL) with a sack and a half. Brynsaas' junior highlight video reveals how he gets the job done. He looks very natural coming off of the edge with a tall, angular frame and athleticism that puts offensive linemen at a disadvantage. Brynsaas brings a variety of pass-rush moves to the table. He understands the importance of setting the edge and operating within the framework of the defense. With present production and a body that can fill out without losing agility, Brynsaas is one to watch in 2025.
