Last season, Clay was asked to step in and play quarterback out of necessity but this year he's moving back to his natural position at receiver. That experience at QB gave him a deeper understanding of the offense and how to find openings in coverage, which should give him an edge this fall. Clay is a shifty receiver who can make explosive plays on the perimeter or from the slot, where his quickness creates mismatches. His precise route running allows him to separate and consistently get open, while his playmaking ability makes him a threat to score anytime he touches the ball. Expect Clay to emerge as one of Sand Creek's breakout players in Week 1.

Stepping into the spotlight as Sand Creek's new quarterback, Rick is a true dual-threat who has the tools to give defenses fits. He can extend plays with his mobility, moving the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield to deliver strikes on the run. Rick also shows confidence throwing through tight windows, which makes him dangerous in critical downs. When he tucks the ball, his vision allows him to find lanes and turn broken plays into chunk yardage. With his combination of athleticism and poise, Rick is set to make an impact not only in this game but throughout the season. He's a rising name that should quickly gain attention across the league.

Part of Sand Creek's dynamic two-headed backfield, Evans brings speed and explosiveness every time he touches the ball. A 1,000 yard rusher last season, Evans has the ability to make defenders miss in tight spaces before accelerating into the open field. Once he gets to the perimeter, it often becomes a footrace that few defenders can win. His vision and quick burst allow him to find cutback lanes, making him a threat for big plays on any carry. Evans proved last season that he can be a consistent difference maker, and with more experience under his belt, he's poised to deliver another strong performance. Expect Evans to set the tone for Sand Creek's ground game in Week 1.

The other half of Sand Creek's outstanding backfield, Mangrum brings versatility that allows him to impact games in multiple ways. He's explosive in the open field, capable of breaking long runs once he finds daylight. Mangrum's speed and agility make him a problem on the edge, but what sets him apart is his ability to contribute as a receiver out of the backfield. With soft hands and precise route running, he gives Sand Creek's offense another dimension, forcing defenses to account for him on every snap. After a 1,000-yard campaign last season, Mangrum has already proven his ability, but this year he looks to elevate his game even further. He's a player that could open Week 1 with a statement performance.

A receiver with both size and athleticism, Nielson is a name ready to rise into the spotlight this season. He has the speed to create separation and the physicality to win contested catches when coverage is tight. His strong hands and body control allow him to make difficult grabs in traffic, giving Sand Creek a reliable target in big moments of the game. Near the goal line, Nielson's size becomes a major advantage, as he can outmuscle defenders for jump balls. With Sand Creek leaning on its aerial attack at times, Nielson has the tools to be the go to option when they need a big play. Expect him to have a breakout moment early in the season, starting with the Week 1 matchup.
