Quarterbacks Who Performed Well In Week One

Here are some quarterbacks who stepped up and played some good ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Brayden Trusty</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Trusty is a quarterback who knows how to get it done on the football field. He was 13/16 this past weekend with two touchdowns and he threw for over 200 yards. Trusty also does not mind taking off with the rock. He is a player in the 2026 class that you are going to want to keep your eyes on this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='679621' first='Kellen' last='Hall']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hall is a quarterback from Oak Grove in the 2027 class. We think that when he starts to pack on some weight, there will be a lot of more college programs who are going to want to have him on their team. He took a close loss to Starkville this past weekend in a 57-54 shootout. Hall was completing passes and putting his team in great positions on several different occasions. Be sure to keep up with him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='934591' first='Kingston' last='Johnson']</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We have mentioned on several different occasions that we think Johnson is going to be an incredible quarterback for Starkville this season. Johnson has the wheels, and he also has a really good arm. If you see him play this season, you are going to be really impressed with the way that he goes out there and attacks the game. We think that Johnson is going to start seeing a lot of offers rolling in for the quarterback position. This kid is going to put a lot of people on notice this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Triston Edwards</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Edwards did not throw a touchdown, but we were able to see him out there completing some really good plays. Edwards has a really good arm that knows how to fit the football in tight spaces. Louisville is going to pick up right where he left off. He is going to give them a good chance to win a lot of football games this season. He looks good on the field. Be sure to keep your eyes on him this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
