The high school football season is about to begin in the states of Oregon and Washington.

So, it's time to take a look at high school football programs that college football coaches should check out during the season.

This list is based, primarily, on class of 2026, 2027,2028 and 2029 prospects, but also takes into account the history of each program.

There is no particular order to the list.

Part 1 – Archbishop Murphy, Bethel, Willamette, Camas, Skyview, Evergreen, Union, Jesuit, Central Catholic

Part 3 - Graham-Kapowsin, Puyallup, Lake Oswego, Lakeridge, Kennedy Catholic, Sumner, Rainier Beach

Graham Kapowsin Eagles (Washington)

Graham-Kapowsin should be way up the priority list for college coaches.

They've got it all.

Star power. Depth. A special youth movement.

It could be a special few years for the Eagles.

Class of 2028 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='984855' first='AJ' last='Tuivaiave'] is the current headliner. He is one of the top quarterbacks in the country for his class.

Fellow 2028 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='985348' first='Jayce' last='Halasz'] already holds offers from Nevada and Sacramento State.

He has a chance to be a national recruit sooner than later.

Class of 2029 athlete Keh'ano Corpuz, linebacker Eurijah Maifea and athlete George Woods are all promising young players who could see their stock rise significantly very soon.

In the 2027 class, [player_tooltip player_id='569907' first='Ayden' last='Bullinger'] is a 6-foot-5, 250-pound lineman with upside. He holds FCS offers, but more could be on the way.

There's plenty more.

The Eagles are going to get a lot of attention in the coming years.

Puyallup Vikings (Washington)

Puyallup has a top of quality prospects.

Class of 2028 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='984781' first='Markel' last='Newell'] could develop into a truly special prospect, and he already has offers from Arizona State, Washington and others.

Offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1188082' first='Gecova' last='Doyal'] (2027) is already a four-star prospect and has offers from double-digit programs, highlighted by Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Miami, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Washington and others.

Fellow offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1165418' first='Ah' last='Deong Yang'] is a mammoth 6-foot-3, 343-pound interior lineman committed to the in-state Huskies.

Athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1165415' first='Jayden' last='Woodland'] remains uncommitted, but has several Big Sky offers and could take a step forward as late riser this fall.

Cornerback [player_tooltip player_id='726165' first='Jasiah' last='Denmark'] may prove to be a steal for Sacramento State and several other young prospects are sure to draw attention in the coming years.

Lake Oswego Lakers (Oregon)

Lake Oswego is a powerhouse program in Oregon, winning state championships in 2011 and 2018 with championship game appearances in 2019 and 2024.

The Lakers are among the teams who could reach the top of the mountain this season and have a loaded senior class - with several young up-and-comers.

Running back LaMarcus bell is flirting with four-star status and is committed to Utah, while two-way all-state tight end/linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='457009' first='Sam' last='Vyhlidal'], a Washington Huskies pledge, is among the top two-way players in the region.

Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='402409' first='Hudson' last='Kurland'] may be the top class of 2026 quarterback in the entire Northwest, and might represent a steal for the Washington State Cougars this cycle.

Class of 2027 edge-rusher [player_tooltip player_id='1246545' first='Josh' last='Christensen'] and offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1359160' first='Dylan' last='Marquez'] experienced breakout offseason and should pop this fall.

Early reviews of transfer wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='936920' first='Jasiah' last='Agnimel'] are sky-high and the 6-foot-43, 205-pound pass-catcher could develop into a class of 2027 Power 4 prospect.

Class of 2028 athlete Princely DeLance is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound pas-catcher/linebacker with significant upside.

Simply put, Lake Oswego churns out quality talent every year and is one of the better-coached teams on the West Coast via Steve Coury and his staff.

Lakeridge Pacers (Oregon)

Building off a strong push from Elvis Akpla, Spencer Phillips took over the Lakeridge program in 2020 and has taken it up another level.

The Pacers are a perennial top-6 team in the state of Oregon, but are known for producing quality prospects.

The headliner of the bunch is likely USC Trojans tight end Joey Olsen, but there have been several.

Lakeridge currently boasts Washington Huskies running back commit [player_tooltip player_id='284119' first='Ansu' last='Sanoe'] and West Virginia edge-rusher [player_tooltip player_id='769915' first='Noah' last='Tishendorf'], whose recruitment could go up yet another level with a big fall showing.

Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='284120' first='Drew' last='Weiler'] doesn't get enough attention as a potential Division I prospect, and linebacker Yahkyil Noil is another senior who could pop this fall.

Offensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='402412' first='Joe' last='Weiler'] and [player_tooltip player_id='914288' first='Carter' last='Paul'] are both intriguing sleepers and there's a collection of young players worth keeping a close eye on.

Kennedy Catholic Lancers (Washington)

Defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='402789' first='Derek' last='Colman-Brusa'] is the top prospect in Washington in the class of 2026.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pound athlete is committed to Washington,

Kennedy Catholic, a state title contender, was undefeated entering the playoffs last year and has plenty of depth.

Class of 2027 three-star athlete holds a few FCS offers, but could take a big step forward this year.

Past Lancers stars include elite quarterback Sam Huard (2011) and Save'll Smalls (2020).

Sumner Spartans (Washington)

It's always start to visit the reigning state champions, and Sumner won its first since 1977 last fall.

Class of 2027 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1188109' first='Braylon' last='Pope'] looks like a special recruit, as he already holds offers from Arizona State, Miami, Oregon, USC and Washington.

Athlete [player_tooltip player_id='987161' first='Lance' last='McGee'] may prove to be a sleeper and steal for the Oregon State Beavers, who beat out Boise state, Washington State and others.

Rainier Beach Vikings (Washington)

Rainier Beach has an historic list of talented alumni, including Jamal Crawford, Dejounte Murray and recent NFL first-round draft pick Josh Conerly Jr.

That level of talent production alone makes Rainier Beach a must-see stop.

Class of 2028 defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1335622' first='Mekhi' last='Fields'] is definitely noteworthy.

A breakout season is expected this fall, and the 5-foot-11, 180-pound defensive back already holds a Sacramento State offer.

The high school football season is about to begin in the states of Oregon and Washington.
