Freshman Friday: 2029s Making Early Impressions

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is Game Day for most of the state, so as they are traveling and gearing up for their Friday night showdowns I feel it would be best for us to turn our attention to the future. The next wave of Wisconsin high school football talent. The Class of 2029. We wrote about them just before the season kicked off, and since then I have had several other athletes reach out to me or their parent/coach on their behalf. So let's give these kids the spotlight they deserve. It is never too early to learn about next level talent! We here at PRZ WI take pride in being the first to find these kids and talk about their talents. In Week 1 Hunter finished with 4 tackles, 30 rushing yards and a rushing TD. The first thing that jumps off the tape is the physicality Hunter plays with. He is already delivering big hits from the safety position. Hunter is also showing off a strong base of instincts while playing deep as he diagnoses plays and gets into the right position to make an impact. Also very noteworthy is the range he shows off playing safety. On offense that same physicality allowed him to run hard between the tackles and move the pile. The freshman QB has clean mechanics, quick feet, an efficient release to get the ball out on time and accurately. His pinpoint accuracy shined throughout his highlights as he placed the ball into spots exactly where his receivers needed it to be able to make a play. Ethan has a solid frame already, clean mechanics, and noteworthy ball control. At RB Joey demonstrated a low center of gravity, strong running to earn yards after contact, and some shifty footwork through the trenches. Joey plays LB with that same physical, tenacious style and it led to plenty of tackles and also a forced fumble from one of his hard hits. Earning a Week 1 two-way varsity job is no easy task. After digging into him a bit it is clear that he has the potential and tools to be in that next wave of elite WI TE talent. He has an elite frame with a 6'10" wingspan and massive 10" hands to easily pluck the ball out of the air. We don't have any game action on tape from him, but the freshman did look good in clips from summer camps. He was physical off the line to beat jams, showed well developed athleticism and flexibility making him a smooth athlete, and he played the ball really well in the air. We have talked about the freshman OL standing out at summer camp in Whitewater. And now we have our first look at him in live action for the Verona JV team. Myles is right at home in the trenches, and standing out among the competition. Light feet, active and heavy hands, and a powerful frame aided him in tossing around opposing DL in Week 1 action. Myles made it look easy as he drove DL off the line of scrimmage in the run game and also easily stood up bull rush attempts in pass pro.
