The recruiting clock is all over the place these days. With so much roster movement within college programs, high schoolers are forced to be patient at times. No need to panic if you're still on the board with your senior season beginning. There's still opportunity to impress scouts that will end up with openings on the next level.

Here's a group of guys that can raise their stock during the 2025 campaign:

A three-sport athlete reporting a 3.907 GPA, Griffin doesn't have a lot of free time. Golf and wrestling are what he's doing when not playing football, where he was first-team all-state offensive lineman a year ago. Griffin contributed six solo tackles and a pair of stops for loss last year, too. During his junior highlight video, we witness how he operates. Lining up at right guard, Griffin fires off of the snap in good time and is powerful at the point of attack. Far from being a slug on the inside of the O-Line, he moves very well, which aids him in picking off defenders in space. Griffin understands leverage from wrestling and uses it to his advantage on the gridiron.

North's 0-9 campaign was not filled with a lot of positives, but there were some of them. Lewis-Walker would be one. He piled up 86.5 tackles (73 solo) for a defense that was on the field a lot. Lewis-Walker also recovered two fumbles and picked off a pass. Highlights on his Hudl page are brief but provide a glimpse into his potential. Lewis-Walker plays with good instincts and quickness. His fundamentals are sound with room for sharpening. Already physical, Lewis-Walker's frame has room to fill out and add strength. There's a good amount of upside here.

Schrock delivered 20.5 tackles (14 solo, 4.5 TFL) and a half sack. He also helped on special teams. During his junior highlight video, Schrock shows off a really good feel for playing the linebacker position. His skill set would work well at hybrid or safety. Schrock runs well, and you can see him identifying plays during pre-snap reads, which results in a smooth flows to the football. Schrock brings plenty of physicality to the table and is a technically sound tackler.

Phillips flashed his versatility on offense as a junior in 2024. He threw for 311 yards and a touchdown, rushed for 357 yards and five scores, and caught two passes for 53 yards and a TD. Phillips also chipped in with four solo tackles and a couple of kick returns. During his 11th-grade highlight video, we witness a well-rounded athlete that could end up at multiple positions on the next level. Phillips' speed jumps off the film and would play in a number of spots. He flashes strength, too, which helps him break tackles and pick up tough yards. Phillips skill set works in the secondary as a safety or, perhaps, a hybrid.

Watts contributed all around the field as an 11th-grader last season. He caught two passes for 69 yards and a touchdown and returned a punt 26 yards. On defense, 10 of his 12.0 tackles were of the solo variety, and he intercepted a pass. Watts' Hudl page does not included a highlight video, but it does house several vids from individual games. As we can witness watching the Mount Pleasant contest, Watts does well in bump-and-run coverage and looks like a heck of a cornerback prospect with height and long arms. He changes directions well and does a nice job utilizing his hands without drawing flags.

Mckern attended Davenport West last season but will suit up for the Wildcats on 2025. For the Falcons in 2024, he caught five passes for 79 yards and nine of his 13.5 tackles were of the solo variety. The highlights are limited on Mckern's Hudl page. What's there lends insight into his skills. On the first clip, he uses his size to high-point a ball and then picks up yards after the catch. There's more evidence in these clips versus Bettendorf. They include him operating out of the slot. Mckern looks and operates like a guy that would work at tight end, depending on how his frame fills out.
