One last piece from the UWRF Minnesconsin MEGA Camp, as we release our group of LBs and DBs that thrived during the live eval periods in River Falls. He was more sudden with his lateral movement down to the ball and attacked the hip well-in tune and time as the college coaches drew it up from my eyes. The 6'0 207 pounder from Champlin Park is the lone 2027 target I had in this LB/DB group in River Falls, as also played with a great motor that processed at a higher game speed than the testing numbers might show off. One 2027 LB to watch out of the NW Metro.

Jack Law, Iowa City West, IA 2026 Twitter

Standing out at multiple camps within a week of eachother is always a good sign as a 2026 target, as that was the case for Iowa City West 2026 linebacker Jack Law, who had an impressive showing at the Midwest Academic Camp at Macalester and then climbed onto my radar as one of the several hundred linebackers in River Falls. The verified 6'3 203 pounder showed off the verified athleticism in testing, with a 4.88 in the 40 yard dash and a 4.62 in the short shuttle. The most eye-catching testing number though turns out with his vertical, as Jack went up 32 inches (2 feet and a three-quarters) which was intriguing. Jack was another one during individual drills and 1v1s that was pure getting downhill with his vision and quick release of the hips which constantly showed off the great pursuit angles you want to see from the linebacker position. He just surprisingly just picked up his after the UWRF Minnesconsin MEGA Camp, from the Falcons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1220749' first='McCoy' last='Smith'], Waunakee, WI 2026 Twitter

If you want to see the most eye-catching numbers in testing from this linebacker group and some of the best instincts too in the group, you will want to know 2026 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1220749' first='McCoy' last='Smith'] out of Waunakee. The 5'11 214 pounder from the Warriors, ran 4.5 flat in the 40-yard dash, 4.2 flat in the short shuttle, 9'11 in the broad jump and nearly 40 inches (!) in the vertical which across the board, are some absurd numbers. Outside of testing in River Falls, McCoy showed off his high football IQ and attention to detail with every rep I was able to watch, as this young man attack the ball with some of the most instinctive pursuit angles I saw out the hundreds of LBs in attendance. Besides the PWO offer at fullback at Wisconsin, I am in awe of how under the radar McCoy is on the recruiting trail with just three offers/opportunities that I could track.

Defensive Backs

Michael Moeller, Waterloo West, IA 2026 Twitter

Another Iowa 2026 prospect that made the trek to the Minnesconsin MEGA Camp, that caught my attention was 2026 defensive back Michael Moeller. Michael impressed me with his good instincts he showed off with his range as a projected free safety in my eyes at the next-level. The 5'11 183 pounder from Waterloo West, ran a 4.59 in the short shuttle, but I felt watching him in live reps he carries a higher game-speed with his change of direction and footwork than that might show off as another Iowa name that got their first offer from River Falls after camp.

Cordae Williams, Minneapolis North, MN 2026 Twitter

A 2026 defensive back that has started to pick of steam a bit with his recruitment that showed off why in the live eval in River Falls, was Cordae Williams from Minneapolis North. The 5'11 160 pounder for the Polars, showed off a defensive back that was one of the most springy ones I could find out of the huge group of DBs in attendance in River Falls and that wasn't all he did well. Cordae also appeared longer with those springy strides as even though he plays multiple positions he looked natural as a cornerback in my eyes at the next-level and had the physical locked in presence on every rep I watched out of him. He also understood the balance of knowing the line of physical play without a penalty, which was constant. He has logged three D3 offers since early June as one of a few DBs getting attention from the Polars.

[player_tooltip player_id='1506832' first='Heston' last='Anderson'], Minneapolis Wasbhurn, MN 2026 Twitter

Heston is a DB prospect out of Minneapolis Washburn that seems to consistently get on my board every few months from his play at camps, etc. as that has been the case for a few years now. What more did he show off in River Falls? I could grasp that even from my last live eval of Heston from April, he has taken his game up a notch with his ball-tracking ability especially on all three levels of the routes he went up against from what I watched in River Falls. Another skill set that has seen an uptick is the elusive change of direction has, which is also a match with his game-speed. He had himself a busy June, logging four offers at the D2 and D3 levels from the NSIC and WIAC.

[player_tooltip player_id='923852' first='Noah' last='Kalipe'], Prior Lake, MN 2026 Twitter

If we are looking at the biggest camp stockriser especially in the DB group from the UWRF Minnesconsin MEGA Camp without question, you have to look at Prior Lake 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='923852' first='Noah' last='Kalipe']. I had a front row seat of it in testing, as the 6'0 178 pounder from the Lakers, ran a 4.55 40 yard dash, 4.06 in the shuttle, 9'2 broad jump, and 33.4 inches in his vertical which drew plenty of college coaches attention in River Falls on his way to four offers from D2s and D1 after camp. Noah in the live reps also showed off great growth from watching his junior tape this winter, as he was lighter with his footwork and seemed to zone in with his vision and attack the ball with more a more instinctive nature. I wouldn't be surprised to see more offers come his way to close out the summer as his outing in River Falls was very eye catching to everyone in attendance.

A Couple More DB Names that Popped Out in 1v1s

[player_tooltip player_id='1669651' first='Nico' last='Holtzman'], Wisconsin Lutheran, WI 2026 Twitter

Nico was one of the biggest cornerbacks I saw in attendance in River Falls and he played with the presence you would expect out of a verified 6'2 180 pounder as one that felt longer with his wingspan during 1v1s. He showed off solid ball-tracking ability on the couple reps I watched and with his frame constant getting WRs out of rhythm on their routes.

Isaac Crawford, McDonnell Central Catholic, WI 2027 Twitter

The 5'7 170 pounder from McDonnell Central Catholic in Chippewa Falls was one of only a couple 2027s that cracked our LB/DB list. He might be undersized at the moment, but on the numerous 1v1 reps I watched from Isaac he played like he was way bigger than that size will tell you. He was adaptable to any route that was thrown his way with efficency on all three levels. Surely one that has adapted a smoother game speed to what testing numbers might show you as a 2027 prospect to watch from Western Wisconsin.

One last piece from the UWRF Minnesconsin MEGA Camp, as we release our group of LBs and DBs that thrived during the live eval periods in River Falls. From the DB that stole the show, to new names catching our radar and more, we unpack the rest of our notebook from Falcons Country.
