Prep Redzone WI: 2028 Rankings Update
The Rankings are LIVE! This past winter we debuted this list of athletes with a strong group of 100+ athletes that had made themselves known during their freshman season. Since then we have seen dozens more jump out to us at camps and on Twitter with their 2024 highlight reels. With all the fresh talent and new looks at summer camps it was time to give the Class of 2028 Rankings its first refresh and update as we head into the 2025 season.
This Class is sure to see several of these athletes make impactful plays and build important roles on varsity this fall, and I can't wait to see who breaks out from this list and who will join them during the post-season update. Until then, enjoy the newest rankings on Prep Redzone WI! Before we send you off to view the rankings let's take a look at some major takeaways from the update:
- Plenty of new faces in the rankings, going from 109 up to 172 ranked athletes
- 40+ new names added to the Watch List that we are excited to see publish film from this season
- The Trenches are well represented with 12 of the Top 25 having OL or DL as one of their primary positions
- The Quarterback position is following in the steps of the 2026 Class when it comes to potential talent and depth with 7 athletes that have QB as their primary or secondary position inside the Top 50.
- There are plenty of impressive frames to have on your radars too! 9 athletes inside the Top 45 are listed at 6'4" or taller.
- This will be a great Class of teams needing weapons in the passing game as 14 athletes inside the Top 50 are listed as a TE or WR.
The talent and depth developing across several positions have us very excited for the future of this Class. More and more athletes are going to be joining this list and making the depth and top end talent even more impressive. Student-athletes, make sure you remember that this is our thoughts going into the season. There are several updates ahead of us with a lot of changes and additions to come. So keep putting in the work and pushing yourself to be the best you can be for yourself and your team. Good luck to everyone in the Class of 2028 this fall. I'm pumped up to cover your sophomore seasons!
