We change our filter on our settings for this time the just slightly undersized Gunslingers at the quarterback position in this North Dakota 2026 class. Great news for the college coaches out there, all these young men are still waiting on thier first offer, one threw for 52 touchdowns last year, and more.

The first Gunslinger that popped into my head when drafting up this QB content series was [player_tooltip player_id='1568610' first='Easton' last='Simon'] of New Rockford-Sheyenne. The 6'0 175 pounder had a quiet summer camp season, but showed off his best last fall leading the Rockets to the 9-man state championship which was the game that got him fully on our board. 52 touchdown passes and a 74% completion percentage are going to be tough numbers to top, but the attention to detail Easton has shows off quickly on tape in a couple of his skillsets tell me that this young man could be working in silence this offseason. I love his quick release and on point timing going into his senior season as a gunslinger that can sling it on all three levels. Super impressed there's no offers yet for Easton. Twitter

Kruze is another 2026 quarterback that fit the 6'0 and under mold for gunslingers in North Dakota, as yet another small school prospect that is under the radar. The 6'0 150 is one that I want to see how much quicker his release has gotten since last fall as I liked last fall's speedy release, but I feel felt there was wiggle room to make it quicker from an upside perspective. Another area of development I'll be looking at this fall from Kruze, will come thru with his touch throws. He evidently shows off the arm strength to appeal next level suitors, but just needs to develop less air time on his deep balls from a touch perspective. I thought he grew a ton from his sophomore to his junior year with his ball placement as Kruze also seems like a passer that stays in the pocket, but has more out of pocket speed that we hope to see open up in his senior season. No offers yet.

Shane is going to be a 2026 stockriser you should see upcoming in our 2026 quarterback rankings out of Beulah. The 6'0 180 pounder shows off solid balance with starting with his poise inside the pocket to his throwing ability which shows sound touch on intermediate routes that can hit on tight throwing windows. Shane is a lot more sudden outside of the pocket with his legs than one might expect as the few reps I watched, I was intrigued with how fast he could get out of there and get downfield with his burst and agility. Shane could be a great small school fit for local college programs in the Dakotas especially in the Frontier Conference. No offers yet.

A quarterback that has started to grow on me during this camp season has been 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1568605' first='Mason' last='Palmer'] out of Devils Lake. The 6'0 173 pounder is more efficent on intemediate and deep routes than his tape probably gives him credit for as the chunk of the reps I have seen at camps have paid dividends going into his senior season. There's also a lot to like about his precison on those throws, as the ball fits right between his wide receiver and the end zone. I can tell the read speed for Mason is getting faster this summer, as he seemed to get the ball out quicker the deeper we got into camp season. Has one baseball offer he got this week, but still waiting on his first football offer.
