Mile Markers: I-16

Here's some new talent I wanted to uncover that lies along I-16 in Georgia.    The clock is just getting started on Harris, and there isn't a whole lot of information out there right now, but the early flashes should make coaches excited. He is beyond his years physically at 6'2 230, and packed full of point of attack potential. Will project as a thumper at this rate, but looks to have desired speed and pursuit traits at his size. Looking forward to seeing full tape a year from now. I'd have his name stashed away somewhere at a P4 school. A lot of unknowns right now, but you can't teach 6'2 230 at his age and position.     Dardy holds a Maryland offer but is still nationally lowkey on the recruiting trail. He is long and lanky at 6'3 225. He has room to add more mass and is still growing into himself as a mover. Dardy sets the edge well thanks to his length and wide tackling radius. He creates leverage with his long arms, widens out, and engulfs ball carriers. He is tough to run around. He has flashes on tape of aggressively closing on the ball. I am looking for him to take another step this fall by adding more twitch and wrecking the game more at the point of attack. Still, the potential here is high and some P4 staffs have already taken notice.     Cummings holds FBS offers, but is still massively under the radar nationally. He rushed for over 1700 yards last fall and clocked 10.86 in the 100M this spring. He is listed around 5'8 180, and is built into that frame well. He combines his breakaway speed with efficient twitch, making him hard to corral in the short areas and impossible to catch when he opens up. Even with all of his tools, he is a vastly north-south runner and doesn't waste time dancing in space. He makes his offensive linemen right and rides his blocks to the second level. Cummings has elite athletic traits and is patient/elusive enough to take efficient routes to the endzone. Cummings is committed to Georgia Southern, which looks like a massive steal.     Dickerson is a three-sport athlete and top playmaker on the gridiron for Metter. He holds a few small school offers. Dickerson contributes in basketball and clocked 11.87 in the 100M this spring. Dickerson is an adequate athlete with adequate size, but he plays the position very well. He efficiently clicks through releases, flashes late hands, and has the ball skills to reel in tough catches in a crowd. He plays both ways as well and produces against the ball as a DB. Dickerson is a trusted playmaker when the ball is in the air, and I expect that to translate.     Kelley is a towering OL prospect who is starting to pick up small school recruiting attention. Have seen him listed at 6'5 250, so there is the natural progression of his growth ahead of him. He is still developing his play strength, but he brings his feet at contact, strikes with decent pad-level, and has the motor to finish blocks through the dirt. All of those things allow him to play bigger than listed and knock defenders off their feet. Kelley is long and handles some athletic OL duties, such as climbing to the second-level and searching. As a result, there's a chance he flexes outside and develops as a tackle. Regardless, there's a lot of upside here and he at least adds depth across several spots.     [player_tooltip player_id='1727979' first='Weston' last='Hughes'] is an unsung hero on a loaded SCPS squad and received 1st team all-region honors last fall. Hughes has good size on the outside and is pretty long in the arms, giving the QB a big target. He plucks the ball away from his body and does an excellent job of tracking it through the hands of defenders. He contributes at all levels of the field, which is why he projects as a reliable receiver long term. Hughes is worthy of small-school attention and could offer one of those schools a steal at receiver.
