For the third in a row, we made the trip to the University of Jamestown for the Jimmies one of two prospects they had in back to back days in June. We were in attendance in last Thursday's session in which between both camps, had nearly 150 athletes in attendance for the NSIC's newest members. The offenisve line group I believe was one of my favorite offensively, but there was also some stellar play all around. We start it off at the Jamestown Prospect Camp introducing our offensive top performers that grasped my notebook throughout the afternoon!

By far the top quarteback in attendance at the Jamestown prospect camp hailed from Northern California which was Luke Lemke of Arcata. He possessed the natural poise and efficency on all three levels of the field from the all the reps I got to watch from him in Jamestown. He was extremely efficent with his touch throws, as I can't recall one throw that was off-line from the reps I was able to watch in Jimmies Country. He also bolsted the athleticism with his outside of the pocket throws as he didn't lose an ounce of arm talent when out of the pocket. The other point of athleticism that I saw from Luke that intrigued me was oddly enought during defensive drills, as you don't see too many quarterbacks one even particupate in those and two this young man showed evidently that he's not afriad of contact with some of the hits he made on other ball carriers. I'll hopefully be fired up to watch this young man in the NSIC in the coming years.

Braylen's recruitment has finally caught well-deserved steam at the next-level, getting his first two offers in as many weeks from Valley City State a couple weeks back and the Jamestown Jimmies last week. I've gotten to write about Braylen a handful this summer and before, but one new area where this young man caught my attention is with his character. There were some young bucks in the camp getting their first look at what D2 prospect camps are all about, and Braylen was one of the first ones to give them love for their efforts on the field, which goes outside the realm of usual football skillsets that I talk about all the team. The more and more I watch Braylen, the more I saw the leadership qualities this young man has at his disposal.

An intriguing new name on our North Dakota 2027 radar that we learned about in Jamestown, comes from 6-man football which is [player_tooltip player_id='1314727' first='Mason' last='Pollestad'] of Drayton (ND). The 6'1 190 pounder passed the eye test with flying colors in the running back group. I thought this young man was one of the hardest workers in the backfield from the reps I watched out of him as one prospect that his last reps were significantly better than the first reps I watched him take. One of the areas I saw the most growth for Mason, was with his route-running. Mason was one that got better with his vision in what I watched and the timing of using his change of direction got more timely as well. He sticks out to me as more of an athlete at the next-level, as I feel there's plenty of upside positionally that this young man could give a college football program.

A running back that I have been fired up about for a while now, finally got his first offer from the University of Jamestown due to his camp performance, which is constant Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase competitor [player_tooltip player_id='670031' first='Jesiah' last='Baum'] out of Warner. We've know for a bit now the suddenness Jesiah has with the ball in his hands, but an area where he's developed even smoother is with his change of direction, in which Jesiah looked natural with his COD in Jamestown. Another area that I saw more growth, was with his hands as Jesiah seemed to have more confidence in hands as I didn't see him record one drop all day in Jamestown. Jesiah also showed off plenty of promise as a route-runner in the 1v1 reps I got to watch, as one that has the elite hands to have a strong probability to play wide receiver at the next-level which I certainly see a fit in the slot.

The 6'2 195 pounder was one that flashed on both sides of the ball at the Jamestown prospect camp, but I was enlighted to see the reps that Liam showed off at the running back position. They don't make too many running backs at that size with the agile change of direction that Liam showed off as this young man is a prime example that even with a lack of tape, what you show off at camps can pay off dividends getting to the next-level. Liam was also one of the most fluid running backs I thought in attendance at the Jamestown Camp in my eyes and certainly showed off his power he showed off running thru contact in the reps I watched.

One of the only young bucks in the 2029 class in attendance, but the last reps we watched during 1v1s from Mason were impressive for his age. He showed off a solid route-running ability for his age and size and brought in a high-traffic reception that had everyone at the Jamestown camp fired up. A young man I'll have to start tracking as we build out our 2029 class in North Dakota.

Julian was a wide receiver that didn't take long to catch my attention at the University of Jamestown prospect camp last Thursday. He was one of the more put-together wide receivers when it came down to his footwork in my eyes, showing fluid change of direction. You couldn't miss on the speed that Julian has off the top of his route as one that I felt rep after rep looked better and better as a router-runner. Julian was another one that I couldn't recall any drops all day in Jamestown, as a wide receiver out of Northfield that surely can play on Saturdays and is still hunting for that first offer!

A new name out of Jamestown in the 2028 class that caught my attention on a couple 1v1 reps that I watched came from offensive linemen Cayden Quickley. There were not a ton of 2028s in attendance, but Cayden appeared to be one of the best ones out there in the trenches. From the first rep to the second rep I watched, I learned quickly that this young man took coaching well as he got better hand placement the second rep I watched and took the defender for a ride into the turf with his finishing ability. He also showed off a quicker firing get off from the first rep to his list, as a 2028 OL to get onto my radar in North Dakota.

Nathan has been a offenisve line propsect out of Mandan that has grown a ton in my eyes this summer especially during live evaluations duirng camp season. You cannot miss how great this young man's work ethic is in the trenches as Nathan surely was one of the hardest working offenisve linemen I watched in Jamestown. He's gotten more nimble with his footwork and I saw sound examples of more well-versed pad level in the 1v1 reps I watched in Jamestown. Nathan also showed off quicker hands than I recall last summer with more prime focus with his attention to detail with the utilization of those hands. He surely looks like an excellent fit to me in the NSIC as a OL target that has rising stock.

Every other camp in the last week has brought me to an Anoka Tornadoes offensive linemen that vividly caught my attention throughout the afternoon as this time in Jamestown, it was 2026 offenisve linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1629199' first='Mason' last='Brent']. I loved watching this young man's fire he showed off with his first step as Mason possessed in my opinion one of the fastest first steps in the entire OL group in Jimmies Country. Mason also was textbook with his hand placement, as that lead to plenty of drive blocking opportunities off the boards in the board drill. He also brought one of the most nasty punches at the point of attack which caught a few offenisve linemen off their base and into the turf with the "nasty" he brought to the table and it was constantly noted in the 1v1 live reps. Mason is one that you can tell relishes the small details when it comes to the trenches as I felt this young man has a glowing football IQ destined to play on Saturdays. He's another one in this OL group that has D2 football written all over him as a somewhat sleeper in the NSIC.

Now in back to back weeks, Alex has caught my attention at an NSIC prospet camp first at Duluth and now last week in Jamestown and I feel his live eval in Jamestown was his best of the two. The domianation he had at the point of attack was crushing in the live eval all day as Alex had I feel the most brute strength amongst the offenisve linemen group. I was intrigued by how consistent his pad-level was in every rep I watched as I didn't see one ounce of misplaced hands in any of the reps I watched form Alex. How this young man only has one offer is super surprising to me.
