As we inch closer to the 2025 season, we have prospects throughout this state that have already established themselves as college guys but there are others that have upside to reach the next level but somehow, sit under the radar for some reason or another. These players have a chance to push their stocks forward throughout the coming season and potentially get themselves on the map as legit college prospects.

(QB) [player_tooltip player_id='1705735' first='Terrell' last='Williams'] - Jackson Central Merry

- Williams broke out on the scene last year with a strong junior season, leading his Cougars team to nine victories but if he can take things to another level this Fall, this West Tennessee quarterback might find his way into the college ranks. The best thing I like about Williams is his poise in the pocket and willingness to keep his eyes down field with the rush coming at him. The Cougars signal caller shows nice mechanics on film along with the athleticism to pick up yards with his legs when the pass isn't there. Another strong plus is his leadership and calm demeanor. Williams needs to continue developing his skill set from adding in more arm power to reading defenses but the raw tools are there to make it into college and continue progressing into a possible starter one day.

(RB) [player_tooltip player_id='1662631' first='Micah' last='Godfrey'] - East Hickman Co.

- For a few years now, Godfrey has flown under the radar while changing schools during his junior season but this Mid-Tennessee product is set with East Hickman and prepared for a potential breakout senior year that could put him in the mix for Mr. Football and a college opportunity. Undersized but compact and well built, Godfrey is difficult to handle due to his low running style but also because of his strength and ability to be slippery in the holes. The Eagles ball carrier shows excellent vision and deceptive speed in the open field. Defenders have a hard time grasping onto him and bringing Godfrey down. His size won't appeal to everyone but some college staff will like this guy because of traits that go beyond his height.

(OL) [player_tooltip player_id='1738226' first='Bryson' last='Shreeve'] - East Robertson

- Standing 6'5 280 plus pounds, Shreeve has the size needed to play on the college stage but his recruitment has been quiet to this point, however I think he can change that this Fall with a strong senior season. The Indians senior O-lineman handles tackle for his team but translates best in college at guard. Shreeve is a big young man with a nice power profile that can be developed further on the next level. He doesn't have the longest arms but Shreeve uses his hands well. Athleticism isn't his strong point but Shreeve has room for improvement in this area. This guy is a technician that works hard and puts himself in position to be successful. Shreeve is a multi-year starter too that provides O-line versatility.

(Ath) [player_tooltip player_id='1565670' first='Marcus' last='Person'] - Memp. Biz. Academy

- One of the better natural athletes coming out of the 2A ranks is this multi-talented prospect that could develop at several positions in college. Person has experience at quarterback and he might see snaps there this Fall but the Execs senior translates best in college at either receiver or running back. This guy is well built at 5'11 190 pounds with a versatile skill set, which I see working very well in the backfield carrying the football. Person has received little interest thus far, mainly from JuCo programs but I think if he can showcase himself this season running the ball or catching passes out wide, this Memphis area product could appeal to some D2, NAIA and maybe FCS level college programs.

(DL) [player_tooltip player_id='1738241' first='Deyton' last='Buckley'] - Union City

- Coming from a small area near the western most corner of the state sits this under the radar defensive lineman that has had a productive career thus far but might be in-store for his best season yet. Buckley can get onto the college radar with a productive senior year. He's an undersized but active big man that moves well off the ball and gets into the backfield on a consistent basis. Buckley is a good athlete that shows quickness and upside with his lower base mobility. He fits the 3-tech well but is a versatile guy that can play several roles. His Golden Tornadoes team has a chance at a special season and if they do succeed at a high level, Buckley will be a major reason why.

(DE/Edge) [player_tooltip player_id='1571430' first='Jeremiah' last='Harris'] - Halls

- Last season became a big year for the Halls Tigers with their defense being a consistent product each and every week. A big reason for that was the play of Harris, who has yet to receive a lot of college interest but back to back productive seasons may finally grab coaches attention. Harris is a bit of a tweener with his 6'2 215 pound look but shows pass rushing upside that could be developed further on the collegiate gridiron. The Tigers senior prospect displays a solid get-off with some strong, active hands that gets blockers off their stance. Harris does need to add more weight and overall size but the frame is certainly there to be bulked up. I see college coaches potentially becoming interested with Harris as he has some physical traits that can be molded further on the next level.

(LB) [player_tooltip player_id='1738240' first='De'Anthony' last='Gales'] - Mitchell

- If there is any prospect within this article that immediately looks the part when stepping off the bus, it's this Memphis area backer that has college upside but his talents have yet to be found. Gales has the size (6'3 220) coaches would love to work with and develop. He is a physical specimen that has a versatile skill set as I could see Gales forming into either a middle backer or edge rusher on the college level. I personally like this Memphis area prospect off the edge but I can certainly where a college coach would like him in the middle. Scouting his talents, Gales must show more explosion, more speed this season to force coaches to look his way and I think he can and become a potential late signee steal.

(CB/S) [player_tooltip player_id='1738231' first='Adrian' last='Crawford'] - Union City

- An All-Region performer last year as a junior, Crawford has the potential to turn into an All-State guy this Fall with a breakout senior year that could land him on the college landscape. Standing 6 '2 170 pounds, Crawford has today's height and length wanted by college coaches to play cover corner. Watching over his film, I can see man to man upside with him. The biggest thing lacking with the Golden Tornadoes cover guy is body weight. Crawford is a little light in the britches right now but he does have the frame to pack on more weight over time. If this West Tennessee product can put together a strong senior year, I could see some D2 schools knocking on his door and due to his potential, moving to the D1 stage is possible one day.

(DB) [player_tooltip player_id='1648058' first='Khadon' last='Piphus'] - Halls

- Piphus had a breakout junior season where he led his classification and state in interceptions but it has yet to lead towards recruiting interest. That could possibly change with another standout year and it could happen as his Tigers team is set to be good again with a high performing defensive unit. Piphus is a ball hawk with great instincts but it's his size that is probably holding college coaches back from offering. The Tigers defensive back stands maybe 5'9 but he plays much bigger. Piphus has no problem sticking his nose into the action. He is a willing tackler on top of being a solid coverage guy. I'm curious to see how he performs this Fall and if college coaches start to have bigger interest with this West Tennessee talent.

(S) [player_tooltip player_id='1738236' first='Angel' last='Blair'] - East Robertson

- Defense was a strong part of the Indians football team last year and Blair was a big factor in those efforts. His return this Fall should provide key leadership along with strong play on the back end where he is one of the defenses best tacklers. This 5 '10 safety has a chance to play his way to the college stage with another high performing season due to his technique sound game and physicality as well as his upside to develop ball hawk tendencies down the road. His frame has room for growth as well. Blair is a really good high school player that shows flashes of college potential but progression in his game must be seen for coaches to provide those elusive offers.
