He has good pocket navigation and does well extending plays and biding additional time for his receivers to get open. He is a threat with his legs to move the chains and he has good ball placement. He'll be leaned on this year. He is a big bodied receiver, who uses his frame to shield defenders from contested catches. Coombs is strong at the catch point and does well with jump ball situations. He has good instincts and uses his size to his advantage. He has good size and is good off the ball, he shows good bend at the hip and has good burst to slip by his blocker to close ground in pursuit. He does well against the run and has gap integrity.
