Let's take a look at Region 6. We'll deep dive into the Woods Cross Wildcats. Let's preview their upcoming season!

2024 record: 7-5

2025 Key Games:

Friday, August 15- at Syracuse
Friday, August 22- Cedar Valley
Friday, September 5- Snow Canyon

The Wildcats need to get off to a good start to the season and winning these three games is a must. They have a difficult schedule and their non-region games are not easy. They need to win all three of these games.

2025 Hardest Games:

Saturday, August 30- at Rigby (ID)
Friday, September 12- at Westlake
Friday, September 19- Bountiful
Friday, October 3- Brighton
Wednesday, October 15 at Viewmont

These five games will be tough for the Wildcats. Travelling out of state is always tough, and Rigby is a difficult team. Then they have tough games on the road with Westlake and Viewmont. The tipping point might be the Bountiful and Brighton games. If they can come away with two wins in these five, they should be in decent shape to have a shot at the postseason.

Tapa'atoutai is the heart and soul of this team. The team goes as far as he can take them. He is the offense, and he is the intricate part of the defense. He is a physical runner, with good vision, has good contact balance, and his physicality comes through as he'll lower his pads and take on defenders. As an edge rusher, he has an explosive first step, good bend at the hip, and has active hands and easily sheds his blocks. He is an exceptional two-way player, and he is the lifeline of this team.

Miller is in line for a larger role this season and has every right to be the RB2 this year, and that'll set him up for a huge 2026. In his limited opportunities last year, he showed good patience, the ability to get through the first level, and is a player who shows that he should have a larger role in the offense. He is also a key contributor on defense and part of a good secondary group that shows good cover skills and he shows good coverage skills and can stick to his receiver.

Gerratt is a good defensive back with good ball skills. He shows good range and isn't afraid to get dirty. He can play either Safety position, but as the deep Safety, is where he is at his best, he's the last line of defense and his quickness comes into play where he can close on the ball.

Haas is an exciting backer who is best as an on-ball, attacking player. He has a good first step, has good vision, and finds ways to make plays and be near the ball. He's primed for a huge final season.

Rogers has good size and is a good EDGE rusher. He has a good first step, can shed his blocks, and shows good bend at the hip. He's part of an exciting defense, and he is best when he can pin his ears back and attack the ball carrier. He is primed for a huge final season.
