2025 Key Games:
Friday, August 15- Layton Christian Academy
Friday, August 22- at Highland
Friday, August 29- Copper Hills
Friday, September 12- at Hillcrest

The Wolverines need to win three of these games to start off on a strong note because Hillcrest is sandwhiched between two tough games.

2025 Hardest Games:
Friday, September 5- at West
Thursday, September 18- West Jordan
Friday, October 4- at Granger

The sandwhiched game for Hillcrest is West and West Jordan, those will be two difficult games on the schedule and then to open October, they head to Granger for what will be a physical match up.

2025 Outlook:
The Wolverines have have a shot to better their 2024 record, if they can start strong and find good continuity, they have every right to get to six wins and quite possitbly seven if the cards go their way.

Key Players:

Moungaafi played well in limited oppurtunies last year and showed that he was capable of leading the offense. He made good throws and showed good presence in the pocket, he got to his second read and is a player that has pocket mobility and can move the chains with his legs, he'd make the team interesting with the threat to take off and scramble.

Graham is an exciting prospect and will add a new wrinkle to his game being the running back for the program as well. Graham is a player that moves well, has good hip fluidity, showcases good physicality to his game and when you watch him move and play, you can see the move to running back being fluid. Hunter loses a lot of production on the ground and Graham will benefit from that and has every right to have a sensational year.

Taeoali'i is an exceptional backer and shows good versatility as an on-ball backer. He showcases good burst, closing speed and the ability to shed blocks. He is a physical player that plays well above his weight. Taeoali'i is part of the tempo setting defense that embodies toughness. He's a player that will be on recruiting radars with another fantastic year of tape.

Masina is a strong, physical and imposing defensive lineman. He has a good quick burst, strong hands to throw lineman off him and creates havoc. He is a player that disrupts an offensive line's gameplan. He's set up for a great final season, which should garner him some regional looks in recruiting.

Makaafi is one of my favorite defensive lineman in the class. He plays with such violence and hatred towards his opponent. Makaafi plays with great strength and physicality to his game. He also is light on his feet, moves well laterally and has quick, active hands. He's a player that will dominate this year.

2025 Key Games:
Friday, August 15- Ben Lomand
Thursdat October 16- at Hillcrest

The Cougars open the season versus 3A Ben Lomand and they were shut out in seven games last year and scored a total of 35 points last year. The opener is a winnable game. The final game of the season is at Hillcrest, they're moving up in classification and didn't have the best of record in 2024. Those two games are key as they are winnable

2025 Hardest Games:
The rest of the schedule

They'll have a tough time the rest of the season.

2025 Outlook:
The season opener could be a big game for them, they can get a win, boost morale and can build on that feeling of a win and can finish the season with another win, they can build on that.

Key Players:

Deegan will be the signal caller for Kerns. He does a good job at biding additional time in the pocket, can get to his second read and good on short to intermediate throws when given time.

2025 Key Games:
Friday, August 15- West Field
Friday, August 22- Murray
Friday, September 18- at Cyprus

The Warriors need these three wins as they could be 3-4 after the month of September and still be in the hunt for Region play. If they lose any of the key games, they'll potentially have an uphill battle.

2025 Hardest Games:
Friday, August 29- at Herriman
Friday, September 5- West Jordan
Friday, September 12- Granger
Friday, September 26- West

If they can come away with one win from this group, it'll be a success and could catapult themselves as a serious contender for the Region

2025 Outlook:
The Warriors have a shot at six wins and possibly seven if a few things go their way. Could be a good year for them.

Key Players:

Johnson is an exceptional offensive lineman and the Warriors should run behind him where he can create holes and allow the back to get through the first level. Johnson is a Power-Four prospect and the Warriors need to utilize his talent and the offensive line as a whole should be a good unit.

Spight has done a great job this offseason, I've had a chance to see him live and he does well getting to his second reads and processes the defense well. He throws a nice intermediate ball and is a quarterback who will move around the pocket, scramble to move the chains. As a runner, he is more of a power runner. Spight also has good navigation and will bide additional time in the pocket for his receivers.
