Peterson is a quarterback prospect with all the tools to be an impact player this season. He made serious noise at the CSU Pueblo team camp, where he was named offensive MVP for his squad, an early sign of what could be a breakout year. Peterson stands out for his poise, decision making and ability to deliver accurate passes from the pocket or on the move. His arm strength is undeniable, and when paired with his speed, it makes him a dynamic dual-threat option. With a talented cast around him and growing momentum, Peterson is positioned to make a big leap and become one of the more talked about quarterbacks in the 2028 class.

Sefcovic is a high IQ quarterback whose skillset is already drawing interest despite potentially sitting another year to develop. He impressed on the summer camp circuit, showcasing his ability to quickly diagnose coverages and make timely throws to the outside. Sefcovic stands out for his anticipation and touch, consistently hitting receivers in stride coming out of breaks. While he may be in a quarterback competition now, his polish and understanding of the game suggest that once he gets the reins, he'll be more than ready. Expect him to be a breakout candidate in the near future and a name coaches start circling in their notebooks.

Jantz has the arm talent and upside that demands attention. He put his skills on display during camps this offseason, turning heads with his ability to throw from all platforms. Jantz boasts an elite arm and the velocity to make every throw on the field. His clean footwork and quick release allow him to stay in rhythm, while his mobility outside the pocket gives him the versatility to keep plays alive and deliver strikes downfield. As he continues to mature in his role, Jantz could be one of the top breakout quarterbacks in the 2028 class. Scouts will want to keep a close watch on his progress.

Samples is a name that could gain serious momentum this season if he secures the starting job. He's currently in the mix for the quarterback role, and his talent is evident. Samples has the ability to place the ball in tight windows and lead receivers to soft spots in zone coverage. His arm strength allows him to challenge defenses outside the numbers, and he's not afraid to take risks pushing the ball downfield. If he wins the quarterback battle, expect Samples to be a player that matures quickly. With his tools and upside, he could become a breakout name in Colorado's 2028 quarterback class.

Lynch enters the year looking to take over as the starting quarterback and has been working to add size and strength to prepare for the role. Lynch has a quick release and strong anticipation, which allows him to connect with receivers in tight windows and along the sideline. He's mobile enough to extend plays and make throws on the run, and his accuracy in short to intermediate routes should fit well within a system that emphasizes timing and rhythm. If Lynch can settle into a groove and get comfortable as the leader of the offense, he has the tools to be a very productive and efficient quarterback this season.
