2028 Rankings New Additions (Linebackers)

Part of this loaded Oak Hills team coming back, DeLaFuente is one of the top players at his position across the state and plays extremely fast and violent. He shows he can make plays from the second level or drop down and play on an edge showing heavy hands, a very explosive get off and natural pass rush abilities while able to win with speed or power. He is a athletic prospect that will continue to grow and develop over the next three seasons and is a no-brainer 2028 prospect name to keep an eye on in this loaded program.     Lewis is one of the top prospects across the state in this class and is an elite linebacker that can do it all from the second level. He is fluid in coverage, tackles well in space and is a true banger in the box. On tape, he plays with heavy hands when getting off blocks and has tremendous open field/closing speed and is a physical tackler in the box while able to make plays quickly outside the tackles or set the edge without giving up ground in space. Already well on his way to becoming a national recruit, he holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Ole Miss and Colorado State among others.     Higgs is the next great linebacker to come out of Apple Valley and has plenty of playing experience heading into his sophomore year. Getting plenty of playing time as a freshman last Fall, he made an instant impact and shows he is a downhill thumper, does a good job at knifing into the backfield and displays closing speed and a high IQ when sniffing out plays. Checking into our rankings just outside the top 100, he is another '28 prospect that has been quietly moving under the radar and should breakout this Fall.     Dunn is one of the top players in the city section regardless of class, and excels at both outside linebacker or defensive end for Hamilton. He is a violent and athletic prospect that flashes good closing speed, change of direction abilities is a high motor player they can make play sideline to sideline. He shows he can cover downfield and is a very smart and quick triggered prospect that should be getting on college radars sooner rather than later. He checks into our rankings as a top 10 player at the position and just inside the top 80 overall.     Pulu enters into our rankings update as a top 100 player in the class and a top 12 player in his position. He is a very fluid and instinctual player that is a long strider, shows closing speed and can provide a pass rush for various angles working downhill. In coverage, he shows he can cover bigger backs and tight ends downfield and is natural in transition and fluid when flipping his hips in coverage. Heading into the season, the Valley View product will be one of the top players across the region and is poised to breakout.
