2027 Rankings Update: New Additions Looking to Make Noise

Berard makes his debut in the 2027 rankings as a rangy, explosive linebacker with serious upside. His sideline to sideline speed stands out, and he reacts instantly to running plays, closing gaps before the offense can get hands on. Berard plays fast and physical, showing a knack for crashing downhill and disrupting plays at or behind the line of scrimmage. His fast twitch athleticism and aggression make him an ideal fit for the modern linebacker mold. As he steps into a larger role this season, he's poised to be a defensive tone setter. With a strong campaign, expect Berard to emerge as a prospect on college radars.     Jayne enters the rankings with a reputation for causing havoc in the trenches. He's a technically sound defensive lineman who uses his hands well to disengage blocks and fill gaps with authority. Jayne excels against the run, bringing down ball carriers quickly and rarely missing tackles. His football IQ and motor make him a disruptive presence inside, and he's capable of collapsing the pocket or closing off running lanes. Jayne is trending up after a strong offseason, and if he continues his development, he'll be a name that attracts plenty of attention this fall.     Barrios Pablo is a powerful two-way lineman whose impact is felt on both sides of the ball. Defensively, he gets off the line with an explosive first step, he shoots gaps before blockers can react, and regularly finishes plays in the backfield. On the offensive side, he plays with leverage and a strong base, helping to anchor the line and open running lanes. His versatility, physicality, and relentless motor make him a standout player on this team. With his frame and strength, Barrios Pablo has the traits to develop into a dominant force in the trenches. This season could be his coming out party.     Sarno is one of the more explosive new additions to the 2027 rankings. Despite being in a deep Cherry Creek backfield, Sarno made his presence felt with the Mile High Prep team this summer, slicing through defenses and showing burst on every touch. He has home run speed, great vision, and quick acceleration that allows him to turn small creases into big plays. Though he may see limited carries during the season, Sarno has proven he's a dynamic back to keep tabs on. Look for him to shine again next summer on the camp circuit and in the Prep Super League.     Burke is a technician in the slot and a new addition with breakout potential. His ability to mirror receivers and anticipate breaks makes him a nightmare for opponents. With elite footwork and top end agility, Burke stays glued to receivers, rarely giving up space even on double or triple moves. His confidence, instincts, and fluid hips allow him to make plays on the ball and clamp down in tight coverage. As he steps into a more prominent defensive role, expect Burke to be a name you hear more often. He brings lockdown potential at one of the toughest spots to cover.     Tisdall is a name rapidly gaining steam after a strong summer of development and camp performances. Training with @SixZeroAcademy and showing well at team events, Tisdall has flashed an explosive first step and a knack for disrupting plays in the backfield. Though he only appeared in six games last year, his improved burst and hand technique have put him in position to make a leap. He's powerful at the point of attack and shows good pursuit for a big man. Tisdall is primed for a breakout season and should be viewed as a defensive lineman to watch closely in 2025.     Simos is a new name in the 2027 rankings, but his game is already well rounded. He brings top end speed and positional instincts to the cornerback position, frequently blanketing receivers and disrupting routes. Simos plays with a physical edge, isn't afraid to press, and can recover well against faster receivers. He's just as effective in run support, willing to step up and deliver contact. His ability to stay step for step with receivers while keeping his eyes on the quarterback makes him a high upside player. As his confidence grows, so will his production. Simos is an emerging prospect with real defensive upside.
