As the month of July is coming to an end, the 2025 high school football season is almost here. With that in mind, we have been in a new round of rankings updates with the class of 2027 being the most recently updated class in the state of Kentucky. After covering the top players and stock risers in the class, I wanted to wrap up my 2027 rankings coverage with some notable new players in our latest update. To kick things off, here are some intriguing prospects on the offensive side of the ball who were added to our database in our latest rankings update for the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='1715705' first='Brady' last='Ross'] is a player who just missed our updated Top 150 for the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky but I will definitely be monitoring him closely. Ross served as a backup last season but he has put together some impressive film. He has shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to put the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver can catch it. Ross also has the arm strength to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. Brady will be a player to watch as he looks to take the reins as the starting quarterback for the Broncos this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1715686' first='Jason' last='Hence'] jumped onto our radar with a strong sophomore season in which he caught 38 passes for 475 yards and six touchdowns in 11 games. Hence is very reliable in contested catch situations, using his concentration to look in the pass and strong hands to bring in the ball even with tight coverage wrapped around him. He has also shown the speed to blow by opposing defensive backs to create separation in the deep passing game. Hence has received a little college interest and I expect a lot of eyes to be on him during his junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1715693' first='Brayden' last='Smith'] caught my attention with some impressive sophomore year film. Smith lines up at right tackle where he is very reliable in pass protection. He has the quick footwork to mirror opposing pass rushers off the edge and does a great job of keeping a strong base while absorbing contact. Smith also does a great job of using his hands to defeat pass rush moves with ease. In the run game, Smith explodes out of his stance and runs his feet through contact to drive his man down the field. Brayden currently holds an offer from UT Martin and I expect more to come his way over the next couple seasons.

My final notable new addition on the offensive side of the ball in the class of 2027 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='1715697' first='Braxton' last='Thompson']. Braxton lines up at center where he is very impressive as a pass protector. He gets the snap off quickly and keeps a strong base while taking on contact, not allowing for any extra yards to be gained. Thompson has also shown the quick footwork to continue working in his pass set to mirror opposing defensive linemen. He is also very reliable as a run blocker, showing the ability to drive his man out of the picture and finish his blocks with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. Braxton should be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop over the next two years.
