As we approach the end of June, the 2025 high school football season is quickly approaching. With that in mind, I wanted to take some time to highlight some incoming seniors in specific areas of the state of Kentucky. To continue these series, I will be taking the next week to highlight some incoming seniors at each position in Western Kentucky. To kick things off, here are some notable quarterbacks to watch in the class of 2026 in Western Kentucky.

[player_tooltip player_id='401720' first='Maddox' last='O'Neal'] is one of the top returning quarterbacks in the entire state in his class. He is coming off a very impressive junior year in which he completed 187/312 passes for 2,896 yards, 41 touchdowns, and 16 interceptions in 12 games. Maddox has a big arm which he uses to stretch the field and hit his receivers in stride in the deep passing game. He has also shown impressive pocket mobility, showing the ability to maneuver in the pocket to avoid pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to find the open receiver. Maddox also ran the ball 55 times for 201 yards as a junior. O'Neal currently holds offers from Central Missouri, Eastern Kentucky, Murray State, and Indianapolis, and I expect more to come his way going into his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='401931' first='Wyatt' last='Robbins'] is another quarterback who continued to stand out as a junior. This past season, Robbins completed 200/297 passes for 2,618 yards, 24 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in 12 games. He is an accurate passer, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows with ease and hit his receivers in stride. Robbins also throws a nice deep ball, showing the ability to place the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. He also showed true dual-threat ability as a junior, leading his team in rushing with 103 carries for 489 yards and eight touchdowns. Wyatt doesn't currently hold any offers but I can see some coming his way soon as he has received some college interest.

[player_tooltip player_id='401712' first='Jaxon' last='Strautman'] is new to the Western Kentucky area as he has transferred to Bowling Green from Frederick Douglass for his senior year. In his junior year with the Broncos, Jaxon completed 89/168 passes for 1,265 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 14 games. Strautman has a strong arm which he uses to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game. He also puts a nice amount of touch in his passes, putting the ball in a spot where only his intended receiver has a chance to catch it. Strautman also ran the ball 48 times for 298 yards and three touchdowns as a junior. Jaxon is a player who I expect college coaches to have their eyes on heading into this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1697795' first='Stone' last='Crowe'] has served as a backup the past few seasons but has been impressive when on the field. As a junior, he completed 22/34 passes for 435 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception. He is a very accurate passer, showing the ability to put a nice amount of zip on his passes to fit them into tight coverage where only his intended receiver can catch it. Crowe also has an impressive quick release, showing the ability to get the ball out of his hands to hit his receivers out of their breaks in the short passing game. Stone also ran the ball 14 times for 112 yards and four touchdowns as a junior. Crowe currently holds an offer from Greenville and I expect more to come his way as he takes the reins as the starting quarterback.

My final notable 2026 quarterback to watch in Western Kentucky this season is [player_tooltip player_id='1597571' first='Quinn' last='Summers']. Summers is coming off a strong junior season in which he completed 190/304 passes for 2,416 yards,27 touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 11 games. He has a great feel for pressure, showing the ability to escape the pocket when needed while keeping his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. Quinn has also shown the accuracy to fit passes into tight windows with ease and hit his receivers in stride. He also finished this past season with 59 carries for 139 yards and five touchdowns. Summers doesn't currently hold any offers but he deserves some attention from college coaches as he definitely has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.
