The dead period begins this week in the Natural State. However, team camps, college camps, and seven-on-seven tournaments were going strong this week. Here are several prospects who had strong weeks on the camp circuit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1278415' first='Will' last='Caston']-Linebacker-Fayetteville-6'2” 200-Pounds-2027

[player_tooltip player_id='1278415' first='Will' last='Caston'] is a prospect who has performed well each time we had a chance to observe him. Caston has good speed, and he uses it to shed blocks. Caston gets into the offensive backfield with impressive consistency. He does an impressive job of getting sideline to sideline. Caston reads the play well. He is a prospect who can drop back into pass coverage and disrupt both the run and the passing attacks.

[player_tooltip player_id='256895' first='Chase' last='Hancock']-Wide Receiver-Pulaski Academy-5'10” 160-Pounds-2028

[player_tooltip player_id='256895' first='Chase' last='Hancock'] had a strong camp in Fayetteville this week. He lit up the seven-on-seven tournament. Hancock was able to consistently create separation from opposing defensive backs. He is a wide receiver who will use a combination of his great speed and sharp route running to create separation. Hancock has had a great summer of work on the practice field, and it is translating well to tournament fields. Hancock is a player to watch out for this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1649900' first='Colby' last='Castling']-Offensive Line-Fort Smith Southside-6'3” 290-Pounds-2027

Fort Smith Southside has a history of producing talented offensive linemen, and [player_tooltip player_id='1649900' first='Colby' last='Castling'] will keep the tradition alive over the next few years. He displays impressive explosiveness out of the stance. Castling has good hand placement and will drive opposing defenders away from his quarterback. Castling has no trouble opening up rushing lanes for the ball carrier. Castling is a prospect to watch out for this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1670222' first='Jett' last='Walters']-Offensive Line-Little Rock Catholic-6'5” 260-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1670222' first='Jett' last='Walters'] is a prospect for the Rockets who has flown under the radar. However, Walters is a prospect who I expect to have a breakout season. He will surprise you with his speed and quickness. Meanwhile, he uses his hands well and will drive opposing defenders away from the ball carrier. He plays with a chip on his shoulder. Walters finishes his blocks and looks to get to the second level. Walters is a prospect with the potential to have a big season in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1305652' first='Cody' last='Johnson']-Defensive Line-Greenwood-6'5” 245-Pounds-2026

[player_tooltip player_id='1305652' first='Cody' last='Johnson'] had an impressive camp at the University of Arkansas this week. He did well in one-on-one competition. Johnson uses his speed well to get into the opposing offensive backfield. Johnson is a versatile prospect who can come off of the edge or move inside to help shut down the rushing attack. Johnson has a high-motor and is a prospect who will not quit on the play. Johnson is a player to watch out for this season for the Bulldogs.
