We invaded the city of Eau Claire on Thursday with three scouts in attendance for the second year in a row taking in and evaluating the talent at the UWEC Big Man Camp, and there was a lot of talent so myself personally, had to put the DL group to start in multiple parts. This list accures DL prospects from three states that caught my attention in the live eval and good news for the college coaches, many of them do not have an offer or have light offers on their recruiting trail.

Nick is a defensive end that caught my attention on numerous occasions on Thursday night in Eau Claire. He peaked early with the eye test, as the 6'3 240 pounder from Monona Grove showed off penetrating hands when leveraging downhill and also showed off ideal hand placement. He also showed off sudden agile movement when releasing his hands off his defender which caught my attention. Already has logged three WIAC offers thus far and one that I expect to gather more attention to this summer.

Gage Gruender, DT Oscoela, WI 2027 Twitter

Gage was a defensive tackle that caught all of our scouts attention from the eye test alone, as the 6'4+ 260 pounder from Oscoela has a lot of raw skillsets that have time to develop and I felt had a good quick growth curve from the start to end of camp on Saturday. The defensive tackle showed off without a doubt he has the barrelling strength that just needs to add more more pass-rush moves to add to his resume. He showed off an intriguing pro agility time for all that size as one that the ceiling is high if he can develop his craft over the next several months as a 2027 DT to know.

[player_tooltip player_id='1336931' first='Micah' last='Welander'], DE, Shawano, WI 2027 Twitter

Micah was another 2027 name that caught my attention in Eau Claire on Thursday out of Shawano. What intrigued me in the live eval, is he came in significantly bigger than his pre-camp measurables and no doubt has not lost an ounce of agility based on the testing numbers with a 4.56 in the pro agility and an impressive 1.16 in the 10-yard split. The movement that Micah showed off in Eau Claire shows the look of a linebacker turned defensive end as there is position flexibility with this young man for the college coaches to weigh at the next-level in my eyes. He showed off consistent fluidity with all the reps I watched, starting from testing to the 1v1s I watched as a DE that has a good release getting off his blocks with upside to grow as a 2027 target.

[player_tooltip player_id='1303060' first='Teigan' last='Rasmus'], DE, Wausau West, WI 2026 Twitter

Teigan is a DE that I remember I had as a standout at last year's UWEC Big Man MEGA Camp as the now 2026 target from Wausau continued his growth in my eyes. Where Teigan stood out most to me was how much more agile he has gotten from last summer. The explosiveness showed off in testing while watching his broad jump translated to the field well, showing off an intriguingly sudden first step and he surely grew with his strength and hand placement in which Mark Johnson and I both saw Teigan get the offensive linemen in vulnerable positions with his overall skillsets. He is one in my home state of Wisconsin that I am surprised doesn't have his first offer yet as a continuous standout camp after camp even this spring.

Brayden Brittan, DL, Centennial, MN 2027 Twitter

The first DL prospect out of Minnesota that caught my attention on Thursday in Eau Claire was Centennial's Brayden Brittan in the 2027 class. Brayden had some of the best testing numbers in the 2027 DL group overall with a 7.16 L-drill, 1.16 10-yard split, 4.4 on the pro agility, and a 9'2.5 on the broad jump. He not only exceled in testing either, Brayden showed off to be more agile with getting off with his hands that I had envisioned with his live eval at the UWEC Big Man MEGA Camp. He also impressed me with his instinctive pursuit angles for his age and size as the few reps I watched showed off a defensive linemen that might be undersized at the moment, but has the tools for position flexibility in the defensive trenches. He also comes from a top-tier strength and conditioning program at Centennial that I am well-aware of, so I certainly can gauge that Brayden is just scratching the surface with his ceiling in my eyes.

Everett Daly, DL, Robbinsdale Armstrong, MN 2026 Twitter

The first Minnesota 2026 to catch my attention at the UWEC Big Man MEGA Camp was another one from the Twin Cities Metro, in Robbinsdale Armstrong' 2026 defensive linemen Everett Daly. The eye test from the individual reps saw Everett impress us with his change of direction as the translation from testing to the live reps showed off persistent evidence especially when I was able to watch his inside and outside moves take shape on Thursday. The 5'11 240 pounder showed off an impressive motor as well from the reps I watched in Eau Claire on Thursday and is one that is still waiting for his first offer but has a sound amount of interest thus far which should hopefully turn into an offer soon.

Brian came out as one of my highest graded defensive ends that impressed me during the live reps of the UWEC Big Man MEGA Camp as his Indy and 1v1 reps I came away very impressed. He had to be one of the most twitchy defensive ends in the 2026 group with a fiery first step and showed off soft and improvising hands getting off his blocks with plenty of ease as Brian won a ton of 1v1 reps and even got called up during camp to the other group because of it. Not only was he twitchy, he impressed me with his balance he had with all that twitch and in my eyes, he was one of the most balanced DEs all day in that skillset. A 2026 DE that is very under the radar in Illinois but surely picked up steam at the UWEC Big Man MEGA Camp.
