Texas State Camp Standouts

Texas State hosted a highly competitive camp that brought out some of the state's top high school talent. From explosive skill players to physical linemen, prospects made the most of their reps in front of the Bobcats coaching staff. The energy was high throughout the day, and several under the radar names made a strong impression with their athleticism, effort, and coachability.    Domonique stood out at the Texas camp with a combination of fluid route running, strong hands, and an explosive first step off the line. He consistently created separation during 1-on-1 drills, using sharp breaks and timing to get open. What really popped was his ability to track the deep ball and adjust mid air showing natural body control and a knack for making tough catches look routine. He showed a competitive edge throughout the day, attacking reps with urgency and confidence. Domonique is a polished receiver who continues to build momentum and will definitely be on college radars this fall if he keeps stacking performances like this.      Audric flashed big play potential throughout the Texas camp, showing off elite burst and top end speed that separated him from defenders. He ran crisp, well-timed routes and showcased strong footwork at the top of his stems, often leaving DBs guessing. Audric's catch radius and ability to make grabs outside his frame were also impressive he hauled in several contested catches and wasn't shy about going over the middle.      Riley made a serious impression at the Texas camp, proving that age is just a number when talent and confidence are on display. As a Class of 2029 defensive back, he showed elite instincts, quick feet, and the ability to mirror receivers step for step. Whether it was breaking up passes or reading the quarterback's eyes in zone coverage, Riley looked sharp and locked in throughout the day. His competitiveness and poise stood out he didn't flinch against older, more physically developed opponents. Riley is already turning heads, and if he continues on this path, he'll be a name to watch nationally in the coming years.     One of the most explosive wideouts at the Texas State camp made his presence felt early and often. With sharp footwork, strong hands, and the ability to separate in tight coverage, he stood out in one on one drills and team reps alike. His route precision and burst off the line made it nearly impossible for defensive backs to stay in phase.      Rhett brought grit and power to the trenches at the Texas camp, standing out as one of the more technically sound offensive linemen in attendance. He showed a strong base, violent hands, and the ability to anchor against power rushers during 1-on-1 reps. His footwork was clean in pass protection, and he kept a low pad level that made it tough for defenders to gain leverage. Rhett also impressed with his coachability he applied feedback instantly and competed with a blue collar mindset all day.      Aayden brings a smooth, instinctive presence to the secondary that's hard to teach. What separated him at the Texas camp wasn't just raw athleticism, he anticipated routes, and showed an advanced understanding of spacing and timing. He thrives in off man coverage, where his eyes and patience allow him to make sudden, explosive breaks on the ball. Aayden isn't flashy he's surgical. Quietly consistent and always in the right position, he frustrated receivers all camp long.     Cael was a force in the trenches at the Texas State camp, showing a mix of power, quickness, and effort that made him tough to handle all day. Whether it was working inside or rushing off the edge, Cael brought consistent pressure and made life difficult for opposing linemen. What really stood out was his motor he never took a rep off and chased plays down from the backside with purpose. Cael has the frame, mindset, and raw ability that college coaches love in a defensive lineman. He definitely boosted his stock in San Marcos.      Ryker showed why he's a versatile weapon at the tight end position during the Texas State camp. He combined size and athleticism with soft hands, making him a reliable target across the middle and in the red zone. Ryker displayed crisp route running for a big man, often creating separation with subtle footwork and strong releases off the line. In addition to his receiving skills, Ryker's blend of toughness and skill makes him a mismatch nightmare and a valuable asset for any offense looking to stretch the field and impose a physical presence.      Isaiah impressed coaches with his standout performance during various drills designed to test agility, vision, and power. In cone and shuttle drills, he showed quick acceleration and sharp cuts, clearly demonstrating his ability to change direction on a dime. His balance through contact and ability to maintain forward momentum made him a tough tackle in tight spaces. Isaiah's versatility and polished skill set made him one of the camp's most reliable backs and a player who stood out in every rep.      Emmit showcased impressive versatility and athleticism at the Texas camp. He displayed excellent footwork and fluid hips, allowing him to stay tight on receivers and react swiftly to route breaks. Emmit's ball skills stood out as he tracked the ball well in the air; Emmit's combination of instincts, agility, and competitive drive make him a promising defensive back to watch as he continues to develop.     Colt stood out by his consistent execution in every drill. In the passing drills, he displayed excellent mechanics, smoothly stepping into throws and maintaining good velocity and accuracy on short, intermediate, and deep routes. His timing with receivers was evident, especially during timing routes and quick release drills. Colt's pocket movement drills showcased his agility and ability to reset his feet while keeping his eyes downfield. Colt's work ethic and ability to perform under the microscope made him one of the more polished signal callers at the camp.      Hudson showed excellent strength and technique throughout the Texas camp, consistently holding his ground against some of the toughest pass rushers. His footwork was steady and precise. Hudson's hand placement was quick and effective.      Payhton had an impressive showing at the Texas camp, moving through drills with smooth. His footwork was clean, transitions were fluid, and he carried himself with a natural confidence throughout the day. What really stood out was his speed he covered ground quickly, whether it was in agility drills; closing space in competitive reps. Payhton showed the ability to shift gears without wasted motion, making every movement count. On top of his athleticism, he was locked in mentally, responding well to coaching and competing with consistent energy. With his blend of speed, smooth mechanics.      Jamicah put together a standout performance at the Texas camp, flashing top end speed and crisp route running that made him a constant deep threat. He consistently got behind defenders during 1-on-1s, stacking corners and tracking the ball effortlessly downfield. His burst off the line and smooth transitions in and out of breaks made it tough for DBs to stay in phase. Jamicah ran with precision and purpose, showing great timing on intermediate routes and the ability to separate late. He finished every rep with strong hands and focus, even in tight coverage.     The Texas State camp was loaded with talent and gave athletes a valuable opportunity to compete, learn, and elevate their game in front of college coaches. From breakout underclassmen to seasoned upperclassmen, prospects showed they belonged putting their skills on full display across every position group. Some athletes left on Texas State's radar. Some walked away with valuable coaching points to sharpen their game. And a few left with offers in hand. No matter the outcome, one thing was clear the Texas State camp was a success. The competition was real, the coaching was hands on, and the stage gave every athlete a chance to prove themselves. For many, this was just the beginning of what's shaping up to be a big recruiting journey ahead.
