It's a well-rounded collection of talent at every position. And with it being so early in their careers, plenty of these players still are figuring where they best fit. That's why we list quite a few them at athletes.

Iverson is our No. 7 prospect overall in the June 2025 Class of '28 rankings update. The Norwalk sophomore is just scratching the surface of his high ceiling and is, without question, a player to watch for a Warrior outfit that should be formidable this season. I scouted Iverson at the Back 2 Ballin 7-on-7 tournament this spring in the UNI-Dome. He stood out for her versatility and athleticism, which allowed him to intercept two passes as a ninth-grader on the varsity a year ago. He shows off his broad-based skill set during his highlight video. Iverson looks like a seasoned veteran on the film, from a physical standpoint and in diagnosing plays. A breakout 2025 is likely.

Eisenbach is a candidate to help out a Lighting varsity that graduated quite a bit of talent off of last year's state semifinalist squad. I caught Eisenbach performing during the Back 2 Ballin 7-on-7 tournament this spring at the UNI-Dome. He fits the mold of the two-way talents Liberty has been producing in recent years. Eisenbach offers speed and athleticism that play well when he gets the ball in his hands. He also flashes potential in the secondary, where he succeeds by smoothly changing directions and breaking quickly on the ball. Eisenbach looks like a student-athlete we'll hear plenty from during the next three years.

Gronewold shined during this spring's Back 2 Ballin 7-on-7 tournament in Cedar Falls. Opponents struggled to cover him when he lined up at wideout. He then made it tough for them to get open when he was in coverage. It's not surprising considering he plays for a salty Rip City squad and also is being developed in one of the state's top prep programs. His highlights from his freshman season at North Scott reveal an athlete that could seize an opportunity on a varsity impacted by graduation losses at his positions. A well-rounded receiver, Gronewold succeeds on underneath routes, taking the top off and winning 50-50 balls. His length and fluid hip actions lead to wins in coverage.

Central Lyon/George-Little Rock has become a consistent developer of college talent. That's why it's good to track guys coming up through the program. Hoogendoorn looks like he could be part of the next wave at the school when watching him compete on the videos housed on his Hudl page. He's an active defender, lining up as a hybrid linebacker-safety type. Hoogendoorn operates with a high tempo and physicality, which shows up against the rush. His speed and agility aid him in coverage. All of those traits show up when he's making people miss or running over them with the ball in his hands.

Lockard stuck out to me when I watched him in action during the Back 2 Ballin 7-on-7 tournament this spring in Cedar Falls. He played fast and with a purpose on both sides of the ball. That followed a season of development on the freshman squad at Waverly-Shell Rock, a consistent contender and producer of college talent. Lockard flashed his potential during his ninth-grade highlight video. On it we see a student-athlete contributing in all three of the game's phases. His speed and athleticism aid him as a receiver in getting open and making people miss. On defense, his fluid actions help Lockard cover and get to tackles. He looks natural on special teams, too.

Lucas made the most of his opportunities operating as a freshman on the Kuemper varsity in 2024. He rushed 16 times for 88 yards and a touchdown, and caught 12 passes for 105 yards. On defense, Lucas registered 10.5 tackles (7 solo). The experience should help propel him into larger contributions this coming season. Lucas shows that potential during his ninth-grade highlight video. Physicality already is a big part of his game, which bodes well for the future. He embraces contact. With a good feel for flow as a running back and the ability to run crisp routes, Lucas is a tough matchup on offense. He's disciplined within the defensive scheme and plays all out on special teams. Lucas is an excellent pick to break out in 2025.
