Underclassmen dominate today's coverage, and in an unorthodox manner we start with two prospects who registered as an offensive lineman but competed on the defensive side of the ball... [player_tooltip player_id='1663301' first='Elijah' last='Graciani'], a sophomore, was one of those prospects that needed to just shake off the rust a bit and improved as things got going. Graciani's rip move improved with each and every rep that deployed it on. Additionally, he has the right idea when pass rushing as I noticed him fight to work his hips around... [player_tooltip player_id='1635487' first='Rodney' last='Walker'] had a very good looking, forward, loaded stance. This stance generated outstanding power out of his stance that loaded him up for a terrifying bull rush. Under control of course, during that bull rush we I saw him forklift the offensive lineman's arms for an easy-as-pie dip under. Walker noticed that his matchup was lunging. His response? Swipe the hands of the lunging lineman away for a quick win. Later on he successfully got to the quarterback by using the pin & spin. A few other moves in his arsenal included swimming a low hat, ripping hard by cross facing, and working the stab. All-in-all, Walker wins because he gets both hands on the man in front of him an grabs cloth to control him/feel leverage. He is not without opportunities to grow, however. Walker got caught inside on one rep where he was off balance and got buried just a bit.

Another 2028 graduate that impressed beyond his years was [player_tooltip player_id='1367141' first='Bryce' last='Blot']. Blot maintains his stability by dragging his lead foot throughout everything he does. Moreover, Blot had a really good punch - a punch that I described as "++" quality. That said, he must keep his hands tighter, specifically by bringing his elbows together. On more than one occasion I noticed his hands on the back of his defensive matchup, even tossing an opponent where he clearly grabbed the cloth behind that defender's shoulders... [player_tooltip player_id='1280846' first='TJ' last='Maset'] was a prospect that I thought was much older than he really is. Still just a freshman, Maset showed resiliency when he got beat with speed inside. Instead of giving up on the rep and immediately looking to run it back, Maset continued to work his technique by powering down and was able to recover for the win. He can continue to improve his feet though. This could have been avoided, as well as the spin & pin that someone got home on against him, as the speed of his feet see an uptick.
