All that's between us and another high school football season is a summer of conditioning and a few preseason jamborees. It's never too early for us to begin looking ahead and we're going to do just that as we dissect who the MVP might be for each team in the state.

Here we look at Region IV-3A. We've picked who we think will be every team's MVP this coming fall.

Fox Creek Predators

Nathan Owens QB, 2026

The Predators started 2024 by winning four of their first five games before losing the final five contests of the season. If they're going to find that early season success again, it's going to take a big season from Owens. The left-hander knows the offense well and will have some weapons around him. He stands tall in the pocket and can scramble to buy time if needed.

Keenan Raiders

[player_tooltip player_id='1422608' first='Hunter' last='O'Neal'] RB, 2027

The Raiders showcased a prolific offense in 2024 that averaged 32 points per game. A lot of that production graduated but O'Neal is back and should be the focal point of the offense this season. The junior rushed for 1,084 yards and 12 touchdowns and added an additional 273 receiving yards on 23 receptions and two touchdowns. He averaged only 12 touches a game last season but should see more than 20 this year.

Newberry Bulldogs

[player_tooltip player_id='1267311' first='Julian' last='Senn'] LB, 2026

The Bulldogs had a lot of options to choose from, but we went with defensive standout Senn. He totaled 87 tackles last season with 18 tackles for loss, four pass breakups, two forced fumbles, two blocked kicks and a sack. He played alongside Touchstone Energy Cooperative Bowl selection Jared Acosta last season, so Senn is going to have to move into the leader of the defense.

Silver Bluff Bulldogs

[player_tooltip player_id='1654810' first='Drelyn' last='Brown'], RB 2027

Brown only played nine games last season, but he finished with 1,336 All-Purpose yards and 10 total touchdowns. Those numbers include 1,125 yards rushing and nine scores. The 5-foot-8, 175-pound Brown displays great footwork and cutting ability. He often makes the first guy miss and if he finds the seam, he's a threat to take it the distance.

Swansea Tigers

[player_tooltip player_id='1267270' first='Dante' last='Caldwell'] RB, 2026

Caldwell split time last season with Teysean Charley but he should be the point of the Tigers attack in 2025. Swansea will be breaking a ton of new skill people, but Caldwell is a factor in three levels. First and foremost, his quick burst and vision make him a threat out of the backfield on each play. Secondly, he's shown great hands and that makes him a weapon in the receiving game as well. Add in the fact he returns kicks, and he can make plays in three different ways.
