Tough, hard nosed and physical would probably be the three words that come to mind when describing the players that will lead their teams in 2025 in region III-2A. If you like downhill running backs then this will be a region to keep your eye on.

Here's our picks for MVP in region III-2A:

CHESTER CYCLONES

[player_tooltip player_id='1603999' first='Caleb' last='Feaster'] RB/LB, 2027

Feaster is a downhill, physical running back with a combo of speed that is fun to watch. He has the vision to be able to find the open hole and then run through it for huge gains. He doesn't dance around in space, it's just good north and south progress with him. He'll be a focal point for the Cyclone offense along with Omari Pendergrass (pictured above) in the backfield in 2025 as they will break in a new quarterback in Jackson Wilburn.

COLUMBIA CAPITALS

Myles McDuffie DB, 2026

McDuffie is an aggressive safety who can come down and make tackles, especially in the run game. He can make plays in space and make one-on-one tackles against a ball carrier. He is also a difference maker on special teams. He should be fun to watch in 2025.

EAU CLAIRE SHAMROCKS

King Smith Bryant QB, 2026

Bryant was the main cog of the Shamrock offense in 2024, making plays on the ground and through the air. He'll be looking to lead them into 2025 with the same playmaking ability that he showed last year as the Shamrocks look to continue to make strides.

No film available

FAIRFIELD CENTRAL GRIFFINS

Kaden Diggs QB, 2026

Diggs fits the description of a dual threat quarterback. He can pull it on the read option keeper and glide past defenders in the open field for a big gain or a touchdown with his speed. He has great size for the position and shows that athleticism in the passing game, where he can scramble around and make plays with his feet and find open guys, especially out in the flats. He ran for 697 yards and 12 touchdowns and is primed for a huge senior season.

MID CAROLINA REBELS

Montieth Brown RB, 2026

Brown had an excellent junior season finding his way through defenses. He runs full speed and downhill and has the ability to elude tacklers in space. Once he's out in the open field, he can hit second gear and find his way to the end zone. On defense, he comes up and makes great tackles in the open field from his safety position. Look for him to have a big senior year.
