Heir Academy CEO Reggie Jones is well-versed in what it takes to excel in advanced levels of football.

The Washington-based trainer/coach had a lengthy NFL career and won a Super Bowl as a member of the New Orleans Saints.

Jones has also coached some of the top prospects from the Pacific Northwest in recent years, including Tampa Bay Buccaneers first-round draft pick Emeka Egbuka.

Equally important, the veteran coach and mentor is up-front about the expectations of his program.

"We never promise an athlete a scholarship, but we always promise that every athlete will leave better than they came," Heir Academy's website states. "We develop our athletes physically and mentally while also building their confidence and resiliency for all that life may throw their way."

In other words, Jones is an excellent source when it comes to fair evaluations of his athletes.

This week, he joined Prep Redzone to break down the growth and development of several players in his program.

First up, a discussion of his 8th Grade Heir Apex Predators.

"They have been the most dominant team in the circuit the past six years (since third grade)," Jones said. "Not only have they always played up, but they' continue to win in state and out of state while doing so. Many of the kids on that team have Division 1 offers now as eighth graders. Also, they were the only teams to win in two separate age groups at the same event (8th Grade Division and Freshman Division)."

Clearly, Heir Academy is going to be a popular stop for college coaches for years to come.

Heir Black

2029 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1397315' first='Justin' last='Suega'], Cascade Christian; X: @JustinSuega - "Made big plays look routine vs elite high school competition. There's a reason he's one of the very few 2029s in the country with Division I offers."

Suega has already earned scholarships from Sacramento State and Washington and he has quickly established himself as one of the best young prospects on the West Coast.

2029 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1557945' first='Cordae' last='Norling'], Cascade Christian; X: @Cordae_Norling - "Started on our top team and outshined quarterbacks all across the country. The future is very bright for him. Once he adds some weight and fills out his frame he has the potential to be one of the nations best."

Norling is a still-growing 5-foot-10 signal-caller whose poise and ability stand out even amongst older prospects.

He is an intriguing player to watch in the coming years.

2029 ATH Keh'ano Corpuz, Graham-Kapowsin; X: @kehanocorpuz4 - "Eighth grader who was a huge role player on offense making many of the important third-down catches."

2026 CB [player_tooltip player_id='726165' first='Jasiah' last='Denmark'], Puyallup; X: @Jasiahdenmark1 - "Athlete on both sides of the ball. His passion for the game is evident and is why he has over a dozen D1 offers."

Denmark is firmly in the discussion as the state's best 2026 cornerback and that was on full display during his MVP performance at The Northwest Showcase at Western Oregon University in June.

2026 DB [player_tooltip player_id='726164' first='Joey' last='Thomas'], Bishop Manogue; X: @JoeyThomasIII - "Emerged as a shut down corner this season."

Thomas, a 6-foot, 175-pound cornerback, holds offers from BYU, California, Colorado, Nevada and Texas Tech.

He has been on the radar of college coaches for some time and continued his strong play this spring.

2028 LB [player_tooltip player_id='985511' first='Kaicen' last='Carter'], Federal Way; X: @KaicenCarter13 - "Freak athlete. Was finding his way as a receiver, but really shined this spring as a linebacker and the multiple Power 4 offers are a reflection of that."

Carter generated reports this spring as one of the most impressive physical specimen on the entire West Coast.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound two-way athlete has earned offers from California, Colorado State, Idaho, Minnesota and others.

With double-digit offers already in hand, Carter will push for four-star status before his recruitment is over.

2027 DB [player_tooltip player_id='1368334' first='Elijah' last='Carney'], Lincoln; X: @elijahcarney_1 - "Great size and athleticism. He made his presence felt in the secondary with his elite ball skills."

Carney recently added an offer from Delaware State and will have several options for his next landing spot.

The talented defensive back has been on college radars for multiple years.

2027 DB [player_tooltip player_id='1188077' first='Tayven' last='Collins'], Cascade Christian; X: @tayven_collins - "Leader of the defense. Led the team interceptions."

It says something about a defensive back when a former NFL'er calls you the "leader" of his defense.

Collins is the type of athlete you root for, and he holds a handful of offers.

2026 RB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='726156' first='Damari' last='King'], Roosevelt; X - @Damariking0 - "Lock down defender in the nickel. Also, a game changer on offense."

Explosive. That's the word that comes to mind with King, who is athletic enough to shadow quality pass-catchers, but can also break a big play at any time with the ball in his hands.

King holds offers from Montana State, Nevada, Portland State and UNLV, which he officially visited in mid-June.

2026 LB/TE Franklin Fox, South Kitsap; X: @fox_frank8910 - "Made the switch from quarterback to linebacker/tight end. He made big plays on the circuit at both and is an emerging prospect."

Fox proved to be a quick study in his position switch and is a player worth keeping an eye on this fall at South Kitsap.

2027 DB [player_tooltip player_id='1737979' first='Justice' last='Nguyen'], West Seattle; X: @JusticeeNguyen - "One of the young up and coming defenders in the HEIR program. Great patience and technique. Once his physicality sets in he will be a force."

2026 WR Mazaia Roberson, Graham-Kapowsin; X: @mazaiaRoberson8 - "Shifty slot receiver that makes defenders miss in a phone booth. Will need to put on some weight, but he is fun to watch."

2026 LB [player_tooltip player_id='1655932' first='Caden' last='Atencio'], North Mason; X: @CadenAtencio23 - "Small-town guy that made big plays at the linebacker position. His motor never stops."

i love when a small-school football player takes a risk and goes out to compete against the best players in the state from the biggest schools.

It says something about a kid who is willing to bet on himself and go compete.

2026 CB Isreal Nabors, Sumner; X: @israelnabors - "The best pure shut down defender on the team. He locked down team's No. 1 receivers as well as tight ends or anyone else. He completely shut down one side of the field."

Nabors committed to Eastern Washington this week and is absolutely a steal for the program.

The 5-foot-11, 160-pound defensive back could very easily "pop" at the FCS level and earn his way onto an FBS roster down the road.

He's one of my favorites in the Northwest.

2028 DB Caleb Lagat, Graham-Kapowsin; X: N/A - 'Young defensive back that found his way as a big nickel. He has all the tools to be a Division I prospect like those who have come before him."

Heir Gold

2028 QB [player_tooltip player_id='984861' first='Brennan' last='Abbott'], Sumner; X: @B_Abbott10 - "As precise as they come. He led the HEIR Gold team on many nice tournament runs. Natural leader."

2026 ATH Isaiah McVea, Graham-Kapowsin; X: N/A - "He just finds ways to get open."

2026 ATH Davontae Redding, Rainier Beach; X: @DavontaeRe6533 - "Known as 'Big Smooth,' because of his tall frame and fluidity in his movements. He made plays on both sides of the ball."

2026 ATH Amari "Ochocinco" Quiocho, Bethel; X: @AmariQ31 - "Quick twitchy athlete that fights for everything. Very dependable for his quarterback."

2027 RB/SS Caleb Donahue, Cascade Christian; X: N/A - "Showed flashes at safety, but really excelled at the nickel position."

2026 ATH Greg Valdez, Auburn-Riverside; X: @GregV2times - "Undersized, but packed with fight. Did a really good job on the HEIR Gold defense."

2026 ATH Chace Jenkins, Cascade Christian; X: @ChaceJenk06 - "Was a huge contributor for HEIR Gold. He displayed a passion for the game that was infectious. Also possesses really good ball skills."

2028 ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1795369' first='Zarrick' last='Roberts'], Yelm; X: @Only_Zarrick - "Young linebacker who played on the line his entire life until this year. He has a very bright future."

Yelm linebacker is always a noteworthy distinction, particularly given the recent development of All-American Brayden Platt.

Roberts isn't (yet?) on that type of trajectory, but he'll be one to watch if he's "next man up" at Yelm.

2027 ATH Anthony Blackshear, South Kitsap; X: @_AntBlackshear_ - "Was arguably the most improved player"

2026 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1356830' first='Evan' last='Barnes'], Bethel; X: @Evan_barnes2 - "Big arm quarterback. Was at his best when throwing in rhythm on deep throws."
