Four Buckeye State Hidden Gems

Major high school programs tend to produce the most prospects, but there are several small schools around the country who turn out high-quality prospects, and other players at bigger programs who get overlooked. Here are four underclassmen prospects in the Buckeye State worthy of a good look on film, including one we featured back in the season who's hard work is paying off, and others who are looking to make a name for themselves in 2024.    Good coverage safety prospect who can break up passes and close on the ball. Has good range and good timing with his hands to break up passes. Can keep hands on defenders and be physical without getting flagged. Displays very good closing speed on the ball, especially after it's in the air.     Tough linebacker who is strong v. The run. Wraps up and wastes no time getting downhill, can stay square, play with good bend and move laterally without breaking contain. Very disruptive and can hit. Decent pass rusher. Also a wrestler.     Tough, rugged inside linebacker. Still needs to grow, add bulk and develop, but he is strong against the run and flashes being a good open-field tackler. Good pursuit angles, flies to the ball. Brother is a Division I quarterback.     Saw in-person at team's college day. Solid arm with a good release and quick throwing motion. Can set his feet nicely and pull the trigger, stays in position to throw. Has good height and adequate size.
