Midweek MACtion is always one of the most fun camps of the year. Consistently great talent, 400+ players, and a good bit of unique competition mixed into the end of the camp. Plus, The Factory (Eastern Michigan's facilities) is a looker.

I got a solid look at a handful of prospects, mostly focusing on WR/DB/QB. Here are five evaluations for WRs, DBs, and one offensive lineman.

A great outing for [player_tooltip player_id='1686403' first='Cameron' last='Love'], who'll be ranked come next update.

Love's keys to success were fast feet, good change of direction, and good ball skills. A lot of receivers tried to hit Cameron with double moves downfield, and others tried to win via easier, quick routes.

Those shorter routes (slant, quick out, etc) usually give the DBs more trouble, as it's more of a bang-bang play with very little time to react. Cameron did an awesome job jumping these routes, pretty much always being in perfect position to break up the pass. Downfield- same thing. Quick enough feet and good enough acceleration to stick with his receiver throughout the route.

My two very slight knocks are that Cameron did bite on a couple of fakes, and his testing scores (from Wayne State) are a little underwhelming for a DB. Cameron definitely fits the bill as a Safety, and I imagine that's where he'll play in college.

John has quickly become someone I find myself rooting for.

An offensive lineman with elite size, and someone who is playing far better than what he's shown on tape. Just last month, John was consistently getting beat. D-Linemen were taking advantage of his speed and balance.
In a few short weeks, John has shown significant improvement. I watched an athletic DE spin around John, and it looked like John was taost. Instead, he quickly reset, got into position, and won the rep. The player I watched in Early May would've lunged inside and wouldn't have been able to re-establish himself. I still think that John needs to improve his foot speed, and he's still a bit leany. Though, I cannot express enough how much improvement I've seen.

Quick feet, good athletic traits, and overall one of the better DBs at camp.

Teavaun earned 1on1 reps with the best of the best. Most of the DBs and WRs in his group were polished seniors, which is a testament to Teavaun's skillset.

What I liked most about Teavaun was his feet. Chopped his feet, stayed on his toes, and rarely made a mistake. Most WRs tried to hit him with some short of double move, and Teavaun never bit. I will say, although there were few big mistakes, Teavaun was consistently a tad slow to react. I feel that it was more an issue of indecisiveness than any issue with athletic ability.

Another promising prospect out of Canada. Looking forward to following what Teavaun accomplishes moving forward.

Keaton had a good camp, as he was able to showcase some of his best traits.

First off, Keaton has fast feet and awesome potential as a route runner. When his routes worked, they worked. Quick, decisive cuts worked best for him. Another great trait was Keaton's hands. A few impressive catches in traffic. Plus, Keaton has a wider-than-average catch radius. When he earns seperation and when the QB throws a decent ball, Keaton always has a chance.
My one nitpick is that Keaton seems indecisisve with his routes. He tends to dance around a little too much, and should work on the quality of his fakes. I was going to cite a specific play, but really, this boils down to Keaton trying to do to much. Keep it simple!

A quick shoutout for Keegan. I only got to watch a couple of reps, but those reps were both wins.

I've always been impressed by this dude's competitiveness. Keegan always looks locked in and ready to compete. Plus, he's got good athletic traits and great tape. He's very similar to a few other DBs I've seen earn offers in the past month.

That said, I'm not too sure why colleges aren't biting. Keegan does tend to lean and get burned from time to time, but that's something that can absolutely be fixed. Fundamentally, he's good, but not great, but neither are plenty of DB prospects. Hope Keegan can earn that offer soon- my current opinion on Keegan is Low D2.
