He has elite length/wingspan and the ideal frame for the tackle position while a natural bender in his stance with good ankle/hip mobility and no bad weight. Although still raw and developing with hand usage and footwork, he moves extremely well for his size and is very athletic in space and a smooth overall mover. Ortiz shows he can block at the first and second level, pull in space and is seemingly comfortable blocking second level defenders while using his length in pass protection and covers a ton of ground quickly when creating a pocket. Defensively, he snaps out of his stance quickly, resetting the line and wins with leverage and heavy hands while able to provide a strong interior rush consistently. In pass protection, he does a job using his length to keep defenders off of his chest while showing he can play against both speed and power rushers. He shows he can quickly lockout, violently shed without giving up ground and collapses the pocket quickly while showing good change of direction and closing speed.
