Paul Gregorian | Prep Redzone Scout
Recent Offers: Fresno State, Sacramento State
Notes: Ortiz is one of the top tackle prospects across Norcal in the 2027 class and has elite length and size for the position with tons of growth potential and upside. He has been offered by Sacramento State and Fresno State so far, and should be a multi-offer guy by the time his senior year starts.

Ortiz is a prototypical college level offensive tackle that stands out immediately with his elite size and natural length, providing a true anchor on the edge. He shows solid footwork for his frame with the ability to mirror edge rushers and keep the pocket clean. His reach and hand strength make it difficult for defenders to disengage once locked in. In the run game, he generates movement at the point of attack and uses his frame to seal off lanes effectively. He plays with a physical edge and shows strong finishing ability upon contact. Flashes his athleticism when blocking in space and playing the DL. High upside prospect that has potential as he develops. Picked up his first from Fresno State and could see more offers come in as the season progresses.

Ortiz has some of the most upside of any tackle prospect across the Northern California region, and is just scratching the surface of his potential in college with still two years in his prep career. He has elite length/wingspan and the ideal frame for the tackle position while a natural bender in his stance with good ankle/hip mobility and no bad weight. Although still raw and developing with hand usage and footwork, he moves extremely well for his size and is very athletic in space and a smooth overall mover. Ortiz shows he can block at the first and second level, pull in space and is seemingly comfortable blocking second level defenders while using his length in pass protection and covers a ton of ground quickly when creating a pocket. A two-way player, he holds tons of upside and growth potential at the next level and should see his stock soar through this season and next off-season.
