<p>To the best of my knowledge, I know two things to be true when it comes to player rankings. First, Prep Redzone is the industry leader in state-by-state depth when it comes to rankings. Second, Prep Redzone New Jersey – <em>specifically</em> – is the unabashed leader in sharing our evaluation ranking notes.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-table"><table class="has-fixed-layout"><tbody><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='648837' first='Seth' last='Clarke'] DL 6'2" 235 The Hun School</td><td>Edge with an explosive get off, which he turns to power seamlessly; works to get his hands above his eyes; alternates between standing up and hand in the dirt; uses the swim, want to see him set it up a bit more; uses speed rush at times, will dip shoulder to do so; can slow play tackles and and have sudden, violent burst to beat them with speed, power, and physicality; want to see him wrap a firmer when a backside bender to roll leverage better; slithery enough to get inside of pullers to spill plays, quick enough to u-turn to the play; plays high, does not have upward bend in his body just yet; matches the hand well; a physical freak with a lot of good skills, better than raw and not yet finished product; will compete for playing time in college early</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1048181' first='Shane' last='Hoover'] 6'2" 160 QB Sparta</td><td>Can tear drop a 40 yarder into his receivers basket; will execute RPO fakes and gain yardage himself of fof it; really trusts his receivers, puts the ball out there and trusts that they can come up wiht the grab; has a burst when running,; accelerates well; gets touch on the ball to get over the hook to hook defender in a cov 4 shell; can get the ball about 35 yards without getting lower half involved with pressure in his face; transfers weight well when he has time, see him move fowrward off of his front foot - allows him to get good velocity on the ball; release is ok</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1552723' first='Shawn' last='Baumann'] 6'0" 220 DL Pope John</td><td>Stand up edge player, or interior lineman; starting to show that he works his hands; plays upright; has a sudden burst coming off the edge at moments; squeezes well from either position; can work into people, more upper body strength and bend needed to routinely win that matchup; recongizes and plays cut back on reach effectively; runs around blocks and is able to make plays, want to see him crossface not run around; when unblocked he needs to squeeze a bit better; want to see him fight pressure more</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1198324' first='Sincere' last='Charles'] 6'2" 250 DL Barringer</td><td>Hugs the line of scrimmage; a bit out of control, knifes to omuch in the backfield; stance does not generate a lot of power, a big load to block; does a jood job of firing out of his stance and not up - this drives a lot of his results; strong, especially when he locks out and extends; have not seen him face double teams or rush the passer;</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1144243' first='Sincere' last='Gilmer'] 5'5" 165 RB Phillipsburg</td><td>Tucks ball between elbow securely; fullback type; runs his track and can make a lateral cut to bounce off the edge; has some balance to say upright, can pick his feet up and break low tackles; has a forward lean as he goes through the line of scrimmage; seems shorterso he does not bend much, yet does not make many cuts; not enough power and does not use his center of gravity to profile as a power back; good mix/change of pace player</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='212402' first='Steele' last='Haubner'] 6'1" 255 OL Saint Joseph</td><td>Violent run blocker, moves defenders who look to spike a knee on double teams; gallops well; will rip inside trap man, get skinny, and climb to second level with ease; head on swivel when in pass protection, looks to clean things up; excellent displacer on double teams, very good drive blocker; feet have a good, consistent base; pad level can improve some; powerful, throwback guard prospect; not seen him in much pass protection or asked to pull; seals second level very well</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1567928' first='Steven' last='Cruz'] 5'9" 165 DB/WR Jefferson Township</td><td>Useds hands to catch the ball; corner, a little late to recongize run play and does not step up quickly enough; will throw himself to make the tackle, bowling, not wrap; spins his head well when defending the pass; high points the ball well; does a nice job of undercutting short, in-breaking routes; sets the edge effectively, forcing ball carriers back inside; breaks are a little late when defending the pass</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='212403' first='Tahj' last='Smith'] 6'2" 175 DL Paramus Catholic</td><td>Do not like his stance with of fhand on knee at times; works a good swipe/club, needs to bend corners better; gets hands on and will snatch down, feeling pressure, to disengage with the blocker; has hit a rip effectively; needs to tackle lower, targeting thighs and hits - not a particualrly technically sound tackler; gets hands on and squeezes, must commit to the outside shoulder; has a burst at moments when unblocked; works his hands very well; liked his effort defending the run the more I watched - needs a good base and keeps his feet moving</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1551140' first='Talib' last='Shakir'] 6'1" 170 DB Camden</td><td>Runs full speed in the secondary, either plays the ball or the body breaking up passes; can slip underneath short routes; really good breaks, causes a lot of PBUs in the process; hips can improve, but shows the immerrence of some; comes up with the ball through contact; can high point the ball; really plays the pass 3 ways: thru the body, through the hands, or into the opponents body; want to see him commit and take his packpedal, sort of waits/hops; a hustler, saved a touchdown from the other end of the field on a blown coverage; good tackler, goes for the thigh boards, wraps, and drives</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1540900' first='Thomas' last='Cannataro'] 6'0" 205 DL Cedar Grove</td><td>Does not need an 8 minute film; Played off the edge, gets hands on his opponent and separates - needs to get lower or get his hands above his eyes; arm/grab tackles at moments, not shoulder; uses speed to rush the edge; matches the hand; must keep tackling leverage; want to see him roll to leverage; needs to get eyes down the line when unblocked, squeeze with inside shoulder</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1558131' first='Thomas' last='Foley'] 6'5" 205 DL St. John Vianney</td><td>Good get off, attacks outside shoulder with a very good rip; excellent and rushing upfield and spinning back when the quarterback steps up; gets off high; needs more upper body strength to strain and separate; quick feet allo whim to slant and rip inside effectviely; need to see him squeeze and wrong arm; tackling is ok technique wise but need more power and force; looks like defense might be designed to allow him to slant inside</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1453901' first='Thomas' last='Plisky'] 5'11" 205 LB/LS Wall</td><td>Outside backer, sees a gap and takes it when pass rushing; needs to finish his tackles, get through and use shoulder rather than grab; reads pulling guards, can get over the top and make plays that way; needs to come to balance when zeroing on his tackle</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1552345' first='Tommy' last='Douglas'] 6'4" 210 LB Chatham</td><td>Somewhat passively pursues the play to his side, capable of laying the boom on an opponent; good tackler, wraps well and uses his shoulder well; physical with kickouts blockers, uses his entire body to block destruct; can high point the ball and uses hands to catch it; being a physical player is his biggest asset and strength, in addition to his size</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1540495' first='Tony' last='Vega'] 5'9" 200 DL Cherry Hill East</td><td>Solid hitter, can stonewall someone at the line and drop them; very good get off at times; plays a bit out of control, needs to come to balance and attack hips when tackling; gets appropriate depth in the backfield; shorter guy, allows him to work up and into someone's body; need to see him create more separation/extension - not a strong upper body just yet; moves his feet well when engaged; an active player; have not seen him in a situation where he fights pressure or takes on double teams; played some edge/end as wel; good angles of pursuit</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1453896' first='Trey' last='Tallmadge'] 6'1" 205 LB Brick Memorial</td><td>Mike that takes good angles to the ball outside the tackle box; head is on a swivel in pass protection; takes on full backs wiht his shoulder, not hands; plays down hill, reads his keys really well; speed can improve in order to make plays from backside window like he currently is; want to see him tackle with more authority - hit/wrap/drive</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1523188' first='Triston' last='Schmidt'] 5'8" 175 RB Ocean City</td><td>Can make cuts back behind the ine,and then again int he second level, when things playside are taken away; gets in-and-out of holes very easily; a determined runner; shown to lower hsi shoulder; sometimes the kids make him look out of control, but he seems to have good balance; after a cut can get back to top speed relatively quickly; cuts, lowered shoulders are his go to - have now show shake and ake, stiff arm, or a leap; protects the ball as he goes through the trenches; have not seen him move a pile, in pass protection, or as a receiver; his collisions look a bit violent; tough to guage his speed because he makes so many cuts to get in and out of danger, defenders have an opportunity to get a head start running in the open field in pursuit</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1605844' first='Troy' last='Williams'] 5'8" 190 DL/RB Notre Dame</td><td>Sort of slow plays things off the edge, does not really step down when unbloicked or force the issue to the offense; gets hands most of the time; want to see more half man attack; has some closing speed, forces bad passes with his speed;</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1562050' first='Ty' last='McLeer'] 5'10" 175 DB St. Augustine Prep</td><td>Safety who backepdals and then levels out as he sees the rotue; will play press, does not get hands on and allows too much separation; can hit a second gear to get busy in the open field; alternated at corner, works to refit hands on the perimeter, does not show great strength, but fights to keep his force; tackles well with his feet chruning, head to outside, and thighs wrapped; can be put off balance at times when covering</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1294254' first='Tyler' last='Bright'] 6'2" 255 DL Glassboro</td><td>Nose, good at leverage tackling - needs to wrap a bit better; makes many plays on pulling guards; hard for opponents to turn him, fights their pressure well; biggrer body with an above average get off; gets hands on the man in front of him to fee and detect where the ball is going; squeezes slightly when unblocked; good at scraping when backside and unblocked; has shwon strength to hit hump move on an off balance, smaller, weaker opponent; body shows flashes of upward bend at moments, not all the time; a lot of plays and success are from a 5 man front</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1271282' first='Tyrone' last='Baker'] 6'0" QB Timber Creek</td><td>Leads receiver very well on the vertical pass, lays it out there; can adjust on sneaks and squeek out the edge; must carry the ball tighter to his body when rushing; appears to make his one read and get read of the ball - has urgency and doe snot hold on to the ball very long at all; when flushed out the pocket his eyes go to the foreground and will scramble rather than look for an open man; deep ball is a bit too deep, his guy shave to lay out to receive it; throws tend to be a bit high; looks athletic enough to play another position in college</td></tr></tbody></table></figure>
