2026 Rankings Update: Central Valley Rankings Risers (Part. II)

<p class="text-gray-700">Buckey sees a rise in his ranking in our summer update and he is one of the top tackle prospects across the state heading into the season. He is extremely athletic for his size, light on his feet with body control and a nasty finish at the first two levels. He holds nice growth potential at the next level and offers position versatility along the offensive line and a massive frame. He has been most recently offered by Oregon State, Sac State, Utah State and Colorado State and should see a slew of others come in through his Senior season for Bakersfield. The 3-star recruit is currently committed to Stanford in a solid 2026 class they are putting together. He is a precise route runner with good twitch, natural hands and can win on contested catches while very physical with the ball in his hands, especially for his size. He is an extremely physical corner that excels in man coverage and when coming up in run support. He checks into this rankings update as a top 15 player at his position and just outside the top 100 heading into the Fall. He is a very balanced prospect that excels from the backfield while also showing he is a natural pass catcher, has elite downfield speed and good vision in tight windows/cutback abilities and short area twitch to make defenders miss in the hole.
