As we approach the heat of the summer, the 2025 high school football offseason is in full swing. With that in mind, I wanted to take some time to focus on some of the top incoming seniors in Missouri in specific areas of the state, starting with St. Louis County. After already covering the quarterbacks and running backs, here are some notable wide receivers/tight ends to keep an eye on in the class of 2026 in St. Louis County!

[player_tooltip player_id='691330' first='Elijah' last='Lucas'] is the top returning wide receiver in the state in his class. He is coming off a solid junior year in which he caught 32 passes for 482 yards and two touchdowns. Lucas is a very skilled route runner, using quick breaks in his routes to create separation with ease. He is also dangerous after the catch as he has shown the ability to use his speed, elusiveness, and contact balance as a ball carrier to turn short passes into big gains at any given moment. Elijah currently holds multiple Power 4/Division I offers and I expect more to come his way heading into his senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='691308' first='De'Shaun' last='Stevenson'] is another high-caliber Cardinals Ritter wide receiver in the 2026 class. Stevenson had a strong junior season, catching 53 passes for 652 yards and two touchdowns. De'Shaun has explosive speed which he uses to blow by opposing defensive backs with ease in the deep passing game. He has also showed impressive route running skills, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. Stevenson currently holds offers from Miami (OH) and West Virginia, and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1320107' first='Jake' last='Plummer'] has become a highly sought after tight end prospect this offseason. He is an excellent blocker in the run game, using his length to his advantage to gain extension against opposing defenders. Plummer also does a great job of driving his feet through contact to create movement off the line of scrimmage. He is also a reliable target in the passing game, showing impressive route running ability and strong hands. Jake also makes an impact on defense as a defensive end. Plummer currently holds several Division I offers and I expect more to come his way heading into this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1294363' first='Tejay' last='Woolfolk'] is a receiver who stood out with an impressive junior season, catching 36 passes for 508 yards and five touchdowns. Woolfolk is a dangerous deep threat, showing the ability to use his speed to his advantage to run by opposing defensive backs with ease. He is also a skilled route runner, using quick breaks in his routes to create separation. Woolfolk currently holds an offer from Southeast Missouri State and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the Division I level.

My final wide receiver/tight end to watch in the class of 2026 in St. Louis County is [player_tooltip player_id='849704' first='Gabe' last='Weaver']. Weaver is a big, athletic wide receiver who lines up mainly on the outside. He does a great job of using his speed and smooth breaks in his routes to create separation with ease. Gabe also has very reliable hands and a high catch radius, making him a very reliable jump ball/contested catch target. He finished this past season with 40 receptions for 670 yards and seven touchdowns. Weaver currently holds multiple Division I/Power 4 offers and I expect that list to continue to grow as he is a very talented prospect.
